GOUGED me for $1000 (no discount for cash!) to clean & extract 2 teeth. I've talked to a multitude of others who have has similar operations on their dogs and locals in the dog industry and all of them say this should've cost $300-$600 MAX. Also I've been here well over 10 times for various illness issues many times having to come back because the dog is still having issues, I pay $50 every time for an "exam" to have them guess, me diagnose the dog for them, or shotgun approach a solution. I'm thoroughly done with goodyear animal hospital despite its convent hours and walk ins.
If I didn't have to give them any stars, I wouldn't. We had been going here a few times and they were great. However, they must have new people or have slowly started the "I don't care" moods all around that place. We went in there because it seemed like our dog had a spider bite or something that just would not go away. When the vet took a look at it, she shaved the hair away, pricked it a few times with the needle to get a culture of it, and told us that basically it was an abscess that she wanted to get off as soon as she can because it looked like some type of skin cancer that was starting. So since my dog is like my child, I said go ahead but we needed to talk about payment plans since we were moving from Phoenix to Eugene, OR. They told me that there would be a $50 down payment with a $15 service charge. Completely understandable and definitely affordable, they just wanted it paid off in a year which wasn't going to be a problem at all. We went in for the surgery and all of sudden they wanted half or 3/4 of the payment. When I told them what was told to us, they thought they could bluff me into paying it. At that point I even called my husband to make sure I didn't misunderstand what was originally told to us. So I said no I only had what they had originally told me. Then the vet said oh don't worry it's not an emergency at all. So I walked out very mad because on top of all that, the prescription they gave to me for my dog hip dysplaysia was for the completely wrong dog with a lot of it's owner's information on, and when I got the new one it was the wrong dosage. To put the cherry on top it has been a week since the vet visit and my dog is now sitting here with this lump double the size and it just ruptured. To say these people are unprofessional is an understatement. They just don't care.
I love this vet. A tiny bit more expensive than other vets, but well worth it. The entire staff is courteous and caring. They even offer no interest payment plans. Have been in with both minor and major pet health problems. Will definitely go back here!
I took my dog in for emergency care. The staff immediately took her in and started to treat her. They allowed me to stay in a private room and updated me as much as possible. Unfortunately, she still didn't make it. Everyone was very patient with me while I said goodbye and completed the paperwork. They all were very sincere and helpful. I would undoubtedly return. Although I hope it won't be anytime soon because the memories are too fresh of my little dog that my family and I miss very dearly. The facilities were very clean and they also had beverages for their clients and treats for their dogs. I would recommend it to anyone
My mother just bought two 6 week old kittens already had been spayed, a week later we were noticing one of the kittens had tiny blood droplets in their poop. The kitten never acted sickly, was just as playful as ever. brought the kitten to Goodyear Animal Hospital and they wanted a stool sample, so we gave them one and then never heard back from them for 3-4 days and we called them back and they said they lost the stool sample (are you kidding me?!)... Then when they suddenly "found it" they called us back to the vet and said the cat has a rare disease that needs to be treated with costly medicine. The vet continued to say that it's contagious and can spread to the other kitten and any adult cats in the house (which we have 2 other adult cats which are mine). The vet offered a "kitten package" that covered the cat for up to 6 months any check ups and shots for the low cost of $500 per cat, said we'd need 2 of them so the other kitten wouldn't get sick. My mom was in awe, she said there's no way she could afford that much for kittens, so we went to get a 2nd opinion and they said that it was just worms, was NOT contagious and could be treated for cheap and gave us medicine for 10$ each. Needless to say we will not be going back there anytime soon... ever.
