Dr Funk has been my main vet for years now. He has helped my animals and even taken the time to call me on his off hours to give me important information or test results. He is me hero! I have also had to have one of my cats put down due to FLIV. This was an extremely hard time for me, but the staff let me have all the time I needed. I felt bad for monopolizing a room for over an hour, but the chance to say goodbye was really really important to me. They never pressured me to leave and even got me a box of tissues. Such a professional staff and amazing doctors!

I've lived in the valley of the sun for over 56 years and have had numerous pets including dogs all my life. Finding a good vet is like finding a good doctor, hard to find and you want to stick with them once you find them. My favorite is Dr. Funk, but they are all outstanding! They have found the problems when other vets have not, saving my last dogs life from valley fever. I travel across town to see them because they care and are also reasonably priced. Unfortunately not all VCA's are the same, this location is by far the best I've found in the east valley. I have to move out of state, and will miss the personalized care they have provided me and all my family's pets. LA

Dr. Funk is amazing with snakes. I brought in a sick reticulated python that I rescued and he immediately knew what to do for her. He put her on injectable antibiotics and showed me how to continue her treatment at home. It is so hard to find a good snake/reptile Dr let alone one who has experience with large breeds like retics. This is definitely the best place to bring your reptiles to.

We were referred to VCA Mesa when we moved from Las Vegas from our vet with VCA there. Everyone is always extremely nice, remembers us and our pets by name and go out of their way to make our experience as positive as possible. Dr. Danner was there for us when we lost our elderly dog to cancer and has been there every step of the way with our new additions to the family. I could not ask for a more compassionate or competent vet. The same can be said for all the of the staff as well. I would highly recommend not only Dr. Danner but all of the vets at VCA Mesa.

As I was rounding up my pride to come n for the evening last fall, my beloved 5 yr old male cat, Manzer, kept squatting with no results...devil-b-damned STRUVITES! I was seen by Dr Funk, I've owned hundreds of cats & he is a vet WAY ABOVE PAR. He didnt try to manipulate me n2 hospitalization when he learned we r poor. He is skilled enuf to cath a male without sedation to reduce my costs. A wk or so later, after spending alot more on local vet care, I called Dr. Funk again to ask him to cath my cat again since his Rx diet had proably dissolved the crystals & I also asked for a bag of sub Q fluids. He quoted me a price but when it time to pay the bill after treatment the bill was LESS THAN 50% of his quote! God Bless Funk! Thankful Mom of Manzer, Lisa
