Had to put a pet down which is always hard. Everyone was empathetic and warm with us. Affordable too.

Terrible.. They present the Optimum Wellness Plan as an affordable option for the price-conscious pet owner, but every visit results in multiple upcharges, most of which are completely unnecessary. I took my dog for a minor mange problem, and I told them to only prescribe a medication with active ingredients relative to my dogs condition (demodectic mites). What I received was a laundry list of lotions, shampoos, and placebos that cost a combined $140. I didn't even get the prescription meds until a week later (at an additional cost). Do NOT pull out a credit card in front of these people. They care nothing about your pet; this is strictly business. When I made a complaint to the receptionist, I was told the office manager would contact me shortly. I don't know if an office manager even exists because I certainly never heard from anyone. One month later, I had my dog (Cookie) spayed under the Optimum Wellness Plan. A week after, her tummy started to swell with little white boils -that appeared to be seeping fluid (or puss). When I took her back for a check-up, they told me this was normal as she was just an exceptionally hyper dog. As it turns out, she became sick and I eventually took her to Christown Pet Hospital for emergency medical. She had a progressive infection due to the cheap sutures used at Banfield. I shelled out another $160 for antibiotics and treatment at Christown, but no more problems to report.. Of course, I have not taken her back to Banfield, nor do I ever intend to. This place is a complete rip-off.. Buyer beware.

Banfield is very unorganized and unclean. Their vet techs make you explain everything and then again to the vet. Who ultimately does not care and just thinks of everything they can test for and increase the bill. They suggest testing for too many diseases and performing too many procedures that are extremely expensive. They do not address just the issue at hand. First off my puppy came in very sick with diarrhea. They first wanted to test for worms and found none but said I should put her on a deworming medication. That visit cost me 120.00 Then I returned a week later for the same issue, they tested for a different kind of worm and said yes it is this rarer one so change to this medication. 250.00 Then she was still sick so they tested for parvo and distemper. Although I had also gotten her the shots there my very first visit, where I also bought into their wellness plan (that pretty much just takes care of the office visit fee and the riding of medical waste and a small discount on everything else (like 5-10 dollars off thats it)) and it turned out it was distemper and the doctor made me put her down for 500 more dollars... so I spent well over a grand to have them not help me and ultimately kill my puppy.... Now my 4 year old.... dog came in with a hurt leg. They said they needed to do their physical exam and perform a radiograph (x-ray) with sedation, and then send it out to an expert to read the image. Then test for tick-fever and valley-fever which could cause the limping. They do not care about my pet, they just try to think of everything in the book to test for so they can charge me 845.36!!!! Its insanity and I will never return!

Baby kitten's first vet visit was here. They were all very nice and it was far more pleasant than I'd expected. Up until this visit, I had not held Banfield in terribly high esteem as I'd thought they were more or less the Walmart of pet care. They aren't. They are much better than that. Can't speak for all Banfields of course, but this one was pretty darn good.
