Horrible service. Vets do NOT care about how you feel nor care about your animals welfare. They are inconsiderate, debasing jerks! You've been warned. Go to New Frontier if you want to have a voice and need a caring person (Vet) to listen to your concerns.

My family made the difficult decision to put our family cat down, who has been in our family for 11 years. Upon arrival to the Animal Hospital, we were berated for the care we had provided to our cat for so many years, and made to feel guilty about our decision. The vet that came in to see our cat, told us that "they do not put animals down for convenience". I'm sorry, but who in their right mind would tell a grieving family that they are putting their pet down for "convenience"??? What happened to being compassionate and showing empathy for people in difficult situations with their pets? Our cat was crying in pain, was absolutely miserable, and nothing was going make him feel any better. Making a decision as big as this only to be made to feel guilty and cheap, like we were doing this because we didn't want to bother with him anymore, is absolutely unacceptable. There were no gestures of sympathy, no apologies for our loss, no "what can we do to make this easier". In my opinion, the VCA Apache Animal Hospital is not worth bringing your animals to, unless you want to get berated and abused for your personal decisions regarding what is appropriate care for your own animals. This place only gets one star because I am forced by Google to give it a star rating. Do NOT take your pets here!

VCA Apache Animal Hospital has been visited by my spouse and I since Fall 2011, they have been very caring towards our kids (three dogs). The veterinarian clinic on Fort Huachuca for the first year or so were able to assist our kids when they had the medical personnel on hand to perform their duties as in surgery operation for our Sadie (Labrador/Boerboel female). Unfortunately as many services are dwindling with the government, they are not able to provide the same services to the military community Active or Retired as before. When we moved off post into Sierra Vista in 2011, we discovered that VCA were able to provide the proper services as a veterinarian establishment to the community in the area as there are many clinics in the area. We like the personnel that assist the many animals that enter their facility and that the entire staff really care for the patrons and patients. Dr. George has been our Vet since we have been there, she has taken care for all of our kids. The hardest thing I had to do was when I had to put Sadie to sleep due to a condition that she had plus she was getting old and she was not able to play ball as she had done many times with me when I got off work. She was about to be 13 years old in May, short by three months when she passed. Dr. George and the staff were caring and were lost for words when I brought her in for the final time. They knew she was a loving and playful dog.

Miss George { one of the Vet Doc's } she has been very generous and caring. She is a pro ! The coffee is hot, the building is clean, the staff members are alway's friendly. From a 120 lb German sheperd ...to a 2.5 lb cat. What more could a pet lover want ! Ernie

The vet techs that work the back sure do like to drop snide comments on people of poor financial standing. I appreciate that it takes money to get stuff done, however making a trip from clear across the county and dropping what little money I do have for meds and examinations doesn't warrant the rudeness. Other than that, the counter staff is courteous, and the Doctors are competent.
