Official Crazy Dog mom Review: Our beloved beagle Ben Valentine had been to a few different vets in the Surprise area. All were good, but none THE BEST. White Tanks, you have a customer for life in us. I have been concerned with my dogs health and teeth for many years. Every vet we ever saw said "oh he's getting older" .. "yeah he might needs a clean.". From the first appointment our Dr. laid it out how he could get our 11 year old back into shape. We set up a teeth cleaning and got him on a medication that works for him and our budget. Speaking of budget, they do a NO INTEREST payment plan! We would have never been able to afford his surgery with out it. Thank you so much everyone! I am that dog mom who calls for everything, and they have never been anything but kind and supportive. You're all so wonderful!

This animal hospital should not advertise for their care of animals. As I have worked at an animal hospital in Denver for 5 years, I have seen what actual animal care looks like. Our dog Zooey has needed to come to the vet after we recently found out she had Addison's disease. The staff there are more than willing to come up with "treatment plans" without even touching your animal. Zooey recently came down with a bacterial infection due to her lowered immune system from her Addison's disease. They took a culture sameple, but also perscribed a bunch of "medication" they said should solve the issue...never actually knowing what they should be treating. Additionally, once the culture sample came back with the type of bacterial infection, they tried to perscribe the most expensive medication. Only after asking about other options, did they tell us "Oh yeah, we have this other comparable medication that would also work." These people are only interested in getting a paycheck, and I am astounded at the fact that they state they care about animals...without actually providing them care. Ridiculous!

Took our 13 year old boston terrior in to have a muscle sprain, bite ? checked out, and they wanted over $500 for xtrays, blood work, etc......We opted only for a shot for the pain, and some meds. Vet Dr. Cox, just barely checked her vitals. pulled on her rear legs, causing pain, and left the room never to be seen again.....never checked for a possilbe bite, never examined her physically except to run a hand down her back.......just wanted to xray away and get blood tests.....over 175 quoted for xrays, and over 200 for blood work.......are you kidding?????? like a previous review...only out for the money....now we have to go to another ver to try to get the dog fixed....DON'T GO HERE....................................

I'll start with the positive. The vet has been very nice and their hours and availability are good. Now for the rest. Their prices are ridiculously expensive. I took the time to do a price comparison, calling another local vet for the exact same lab test. White Tanks was $117 and the other was $61. I made sure I was comparing apples to apples. You do the math! I think they keep their vet visit charges in line so you won't realize that they are gouging you on everything else -- people tend to shop office visit charges and they know that. Once you're in there and they say you need to have a blood panel (Chem 10 if you want to comparison shop) done for $93, it might seem high to you but you have no point of comparison so you swallow it and walk out with a $300 vet bill for practically nothing. After I did the comparison shopping on the test, I decided to take my business elsewhere. In addition to the cost, I don't think the quality of care is good. The vet prescribed a med for my cat and the label on the container said in bold print: FOR DOGS ONLY. MAY CAUSE RENAL FAILURE AND DEATH IN CATS. I was thoroughly disgusted that she would prescribe such a risky and off-label use, especially without even mentioning to me that she was doing it! So, all-in-all, they are charging double what other places charge and for lousy quality of care. I suspect they pay to have their reviews scrubbed, so this may not be posted for long!
