I cannot say enough about the University Animal Hospital. The doctors and staff show so much compassion for your animals. My dog Chance, received such great and loving care by Dr. Koch, that I referred several of my friends to go visit this clinic. I have been a client of Dr. Flegenheimer at University Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Dr. Flegenheimer has taken such amazing care of my pets (which over the 20 years included 5 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, and a turtle). He always takes the time to evaluate my pets and then explain his findings. I highly recommend him as your next, trusted vet ! The staff, too, is very friendly and are so kind.

Five pets, three cats, two dogs, each with unique health issues. Clinical - this clinic is very convenient, completely professional, and reasonably priced. The office hours are very accommodating and we appreciate that greatly. Grooming - You have to get your grooming appointment way in advance because they will be booked solid. (This is a good thing, even though it can be frustrating.) Boarding - It's a veterinary clinic, so the boarding facilities aren't on the order of a pet spa, but they are very kind and our animals have always returned rested and happy. Waiting Area - they thought it out wisely and made it possible for someone with a nervous or aggressive animal to have a nice private nook. It's usually pretty quiet, and it's as comfortable an environment as can be made for a vet waiting room.

Though this was the very first time I went to UAH, I was nervous not knowing what was wrong w/ my little dog Cloie. Thank goodness she is fine now. The Vet as well as the staff made us all comfortable.

I've been going to University for about 7-8yrs., & have always found both the doctors & the staff extremely courteous & understanding when my dogs have required "special" services, like teeth cleaning, etc. And they're always helpful when I call for appts. or extra's - like mailing a copy of the girls' records to their daycare. I would always recommend them to anyone who requires expert & understanding care. And may I add that Dr. Bob Koch is a vet like no other...the Very Best in his field!
