I had a wonderful experience with my 8 week old puppy today. Being the first time to go to this vet, I wasn't sure what to expect. The appointment far exceeded any expectations I would have imagined. The technician (Jenni) was so kind to the puppy and our family. She answered all of my questions about chew toys, basic puppy behavior and health needs. The vet (Dr. Jackson) took her time with our puppy, listening to her stomach. She even let the kids use her stethoscope to listen to the puppy's heartbeat. Dr. Jackson also patiently answered all of our questions and gave us some medical recommendations to questions I hadn't thought to ask. Every staff member from the front desk to people passing us in the hall was friendly and even stopped to peep in the pet carrier to compliment our puppy's cuteness. :-) Highly recommend.
When our pack to Tucson moved from 'back East' two years ago we thought we'd never again see the care for dogs we got there. We were wrong. NW Clinic consistently comes through! As our dog has ambled toward the 16-1/2 yr. mark, our needed services have progressed from routine maintenance to surgery and bi-daily laser treatments. These have done our dog enormous good, and at first she would prance across the living room after treatments. Alas, her spinal nervous system is degenerating, but we know despite this decline we would have lost her months ago if she could not continue to move about. Another word about the NW staff: their attitude is superb, from our dog's vet (Dr. Jackson) to the administrative staff (Tiki) and several tech assistants. Even the custodian (who maintains a tidiness inside and outside the facility) was aware of our dog's health regimen - impressive! Otherwise, there’s parking near the front and back of the building, though a small ailing dog can have trouble coming up the two brick steps to the back entrance. Our pack recommends Northwest Clinic for pet care without hesitation.
Dr Kovarna and Caleena Martines are amazing. I have a 6 month old Boston Terrier who is a handful. She is the sweetest cuddler and absolutely loves everyone....only problem is she eats everything she should not. She is not really a chewer on things like couches, shoes, ect....but eats plants, the stuffing from my box spring, ect....Since having her....she has, what seems to be, weekly visits to the vet..literally...rather she is sick with an upset stomach, straining from eating things she should not...having gerardia, eating rocks.....And EVERY time I call Northwest Pet Clinic, they are all so sweet and kind to both me, but more importantly, to Sadie. Everytime she goes there...all of the girls that are working make their rounds in to the room to give her loving. Sadie loves going there. I am what some would say a worry wart and am over protective of my little Sadie....I don't trust vets often...but these guys are amazing! All of the girls there are top notch!!! Anytime I have left Dr. Kovarna a message....she calls me back personally. She has always given Sadie the best care, while at the same time trying to save me money. She does not recommend treaments not needed and in fact has gone out of her way to save me money. Sadie will continue to go to Northwest Pet Clinic and Dr. Kovarna for the rest of here life! I would highly recommend this clinic and especially Dr. Kovarna. FIVE STARS!!
On 1/17/15 Tiki and I saw Dr. Siegrist and our tech was Carina. This was our first visit to the clinic and I was impressed. I believed both Dr. Siegrist and Carina really cared about Tiki and that we were given accurate information. Dr. Siegrist actually had me look into the scope to see what was going on with Tiki's ears and showed me how to check for eye problems, which I've never had another vet do. I think we've found our "forever vet!" :-)
We love this vet clinic and its staff. We saw Dr. Miller and his vet technician, Caleen Martinez on 01/16/2015 and as always they provided an exceptional level of care. We are frequent flyers there, as our Shar Pei has tons of allergy issues. Dr. Miller is always there for us and has helped us manage our dog's chronic condition.
