Pima pet clinic saved my dogs life back in 2007. She should have probably died, she was attacked by a pack of javelinas. She stayed 7 days at the facility and was cared for around the clock with a few operations to fix internal problems. She came right and was bouncing around just like before. Unfortunately 7yrs later she started having seizures and took her in 3 weeks ago. Dr Scott knew exactly who my dog was and my little Shih Tzu was over the moon to see her. She was acting like a puppy again around Dr Scott and does every time we see her. Sadly today Dr Scott by my request put my little girl to sleep. Her quality of life was horrible and I knew it was time. Dr Scott and the staff not only took care of my little girl but they also were able to ease my emotions at the time. I will always use Pima Pet Clinic. Over the years with my other dogs I've been to vets around Tucson. They have nothing on this place. Reading the other reviews, I must say. Having a pet costs money and we get that reality when the bills for vet emergencies come up. I was driving late one night from work down Speedway and found a dog who was hit multiple times by passing cars. I took the dog quickly to the clinic who was not far. I'm not sure what happened to the dog, but they were very helpful and took the dog in. This place generally loves animals.

Recently my Lhasa Apso started vomiting and became very lethargic. I took him to my regular vet who could find nothing wrong. He gave him some nausea medicine and sent me on my way. This was on Saturday morning. My dog kept getting sicker and sicker and on Sunday I took him to another animal emergency hospital. Again, they just gave him more anti-nausea medicine. By Monday night my husband and I were concerned that he wouldn't last the night so I took him to Pima. After an extensive exam, Dr. Bejarano said she could feel something in his stomach and another set of x-rays were taken. Sure enough he was obstructed. Surgery was done and he has completely recovered. Throughout the whole process, the staff was totally professional and courteous. Their communication was excellent and I got reports whenever I wanted. Yes, it was not cheap, but opening a dog's bowels and hospitalizing him for several days takes a lot of resources. I am very grateful to Pima Pet Clinic and all the vets and techs there, especially Dr. Bejarano who finally figured out what was wrong with my pup. I would definitely go back there for emergency treatment and am even considering transferring my primary care treatment there as well.

The vets are very compassionate and truthful. You can have your pet seen anytime day or night. Price is more than other vets. Dr. Parker and Dr. Knight have been taking care of my dog for over 10 years. I am extremely happy with them and their service.

This is the absolute worst vet clinic EVER!!! They care only about money and absolutely nothing else. I took my dog in for a possible obstruction. They took two x-rays and did a cbc ($400). All vital signs were normal, cbc was normal, x-rays showed absolutely NO obstruction (they showed them to me AND explained this), yet they wanted to keep him overnight at the tune of over $1500, put dye in him, x-ray him again in the morning and then do a possible exploratory surgery at the tune of over $3500. Really??? Even though he wasn't dehydrated and everything came back normal, they wanted to give him 3 bags of IV fluids (at $110/bag....for saline solution!! Salt water!!!), just under $100 for the IV catheter (the needle and tube), $69 for a pump to pump the IV (could use a drip???), and the list goes on. I told them I had a vet appointment with my vet in the morning and just got off the phone with him. He wanted me to have them give IV fluids for 1/2 hour (dog wasn't drinking) and he would see him in the morning. THEY WOULDN'T DO IT UNLESS HE STAYED THE NIGHT!!! Worst experience ever. Will NEVER go back there for ANY reason. They will take you for everything you got, put anything they can think of on the estimate to raise the price, and care nothing about your animal. RUN anywhere but there. I called two vets and they were astonished at the care suggested and the cost estimated! I took him to my vet in the morning, he kept him all weekend (this was a Saturday morning) and charged me $85!!!! I love vets that care about animals and people! Oh, and one other thing, if you go read the response from the owner on every single negative review, they are exactly the same. An automated response! More proof they don't care!

Absolute worst care for your pets that you can find. If I had listened to Pima Pet Clinic my dog would be dead. My dog was hit by a car and when I took her to this "Pet Emergency Center" they couldn't help her. Though they easily racked up $1,000 in bills for blood tests and cleaning her up, their great recommendation was for me to drive 2 hours to Gilbert to have a Board Certified Surgeon extract her tail and perform surgery on her wounds. They told me that there was only 1 Surgeon in all of Tucson who could perform the surgery and that they tried to contact them but were unsuccessful. I left their office with a big bill, a bandage on my dogs backside that was not secure and falling off, and a feeling that the Pima Pet Clinic Dr. lied to me. Luckily my brother-in-law called me before I started off to Gilbert with my severely injured pup, and he recommended me to call the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson. I gave them a call and wouldn't you know they have 4 Board Certified Surgeons on staff, and no one from Pima Pet Clinic contacted them that morning on my behalf. Long story short, I headed over to VSCT right away and they performed the necessary laser surgery and saved my dog. I went so far as lodging an official complaint about the Pima Pet Clinic to the State Veterinary Board, an Investigation ensued but unfortunately since the actual case review took place in Phoenix I wasn't able to travel up there and appear at the review. Pima Pet Clinic had an attorney represent them and not surprisingly the board decided against filing a citation against the practice. Quite a sham that the State Board would protect a practice that so many people in the community complain about. I would give them a 0 rating if that was an option. Greedy, liars, and worst of all they don't put your pets care as their primary concern.
