I have brought two of my bully breed dogs here and the Vet Techs have been knowledgeable, sweet, fearlessly loving and enthusiastic. The Veterinarian, Emily Evans', bedside (dogside?) manner has left something to be desired. While my two dogs, one is massive and relaxed, the other is a big energetic puppy, are friendly and show zero signs of mal temper, yet she seemed pensive and afraid of my dogs. Seeing her a few minutes later at ease and seemingly happy/smiling with small toy-sized dog totally bummed me out. This time there was doubt of whether my dog had a real medical concern or simply seasonal or dust allergies, however she immediately wanted to prescribe steroids and antibiotics, instead of exploring less invasive/powerful treatments. In the end, I chose non-steroidal non-antibiotic drops that would not compromise my puppy's immune system. Typically I prefer a holistic natural approach, if at all possible, so I am shopping around for a more holistic Veterinarian who does not immediately push heavy pharmaceuticals or exude a dislike or a fear of large dogs.

Great Vet! Efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and reasonable prices. They go the extra mile. I'm living abroad and they answer questions immediately via email. These guys are committed and love what they do, it shows.

I had a kitten about 6 months old that got spayed at ABC because it was the cheapest place in town. BIG mistake. The wound opened up and got infected, so I looked around for a reliable vet in my area. I got to University Pet Clinic and expected to pay out the wazoo for their level of professionalism, cleanliness, and how quickly they saw me and my kitten. When they presented me with treatment options AND cost BEFORE they did anything, it was not only a level of courtesy I didn't expect, but about half the cost of what I was bracing for. I'll be going to University Pet Clinic for as long as I live in Tucson for any pets I own.

I was dogsitting and my friend's dog was hit by a car. I called UPC and they took care of me as if I were a lifelong customer. The entire staff was kind, helpful, professional, and answered all my questions. They gave me good information and were extremely kind and gentle with the distressed dog. They helped me negotiate followup care (stitch removal) in the dog's home city since the owner couldn't travel back to Tucson. They called later to check on the dog's progress and welfare. I couldn't have asked for better care or service, especially as a non dog owner in a distressing situation. Bravo!

I am a paranoid puppy parent, but the office staff is very friendly, and welcoming. My husband and I just picked up two welsh corgi puppies, one 7 weeks and the other 11 weeks. Turns out they are both covered in ticks and we have spent the last couple days washing their bedding twice a day, and our clothes, and keeping them confined in the kitchen (we were thinking lice..so i'm glad they were just ticks). And then the obvious with shots that according to the breeder she started, but to make myself feel better I'd rather start the shots over again. But the staff understood my concerns, and checked everything, and were very helpful. Now the puppies will be clean and free of ticks soon, then they can be happy little trouble makers again! We will be coming back, thats for sure!
