This place is a racket, I was referred here by my normal vet Feline Limited, shame on them because they charged us $330 for an office visit and blood work. didn't even try to give me advice or help on what to do with my cat who I only brought there because they take walk-ins.

Some time ago, I took my cat, Archimedes to this place , The V C A at 2661 N. First Ave. Tucson. He had a problem with fleas, and was in a shut down mode. I was giving him food and water with a syringe. I brought him to this rotten place, They charged me almost a hundred dollars for a shot, and then, THESE SCUMBAGS CALLED ANIMAL CONTROL ON ME!!! It Was bad enough trying to keep him alive by syringe feeding and watering him every day without worrying about what the animal control people might do, when they came, all they did was ask about Archimedes and called my regular vet, who I should have taken him to in the first place, but it was a Saturday. This V C A is a really lousy place, total GARBAGE PEOPLE!!! Way to expensive, By all means, TAKE YOUR ANIMAL SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

You guys are crooks! Took my pit in for a big cut she got when she got scared and jumped into a kennel that wasn't for her, you charged us $1600 for ointment and a bandage which fell off the next day when she needed stitches. Too bad we couldn't afford anything else after we paid you. NEVER go here. I highly recommend four paws at grant and swan.

I took my Yorkie in for frequent liquid bloody stools. Vet said she just had a tummy ache and would be okay. My dog died 4hrs later. The SO AZ emergency vet said it was hemorrhagic gastro enteritis. My dog died a horrible painful death. VCA didn't do blood work but I did have a $400 bill. Since then I have heard many disturbing experiences from other people. VCA is a chain do yourself and your pet a favor and select a hometown vet.

I took my 4 month old puppy to get some antibiotics for her kennel cough. I have gone back 3 times for followups because she is not recovering from her cough. They have not taken care of the original problem but I still get charged $80 everytime to refill a prescription I know is not working. I am looking for new vet that can actually treat my puppy without having to pay everytime she misdiagnoses the medication or dosage!
