My vet referred our dog, Barkley, to Dr. Boulay at VSCOT for a torn ACL. Dr. Boulay performed TPLO surgery the same day. He spent a lot of time with us explaining the condition and the surgery. He also diagnosed my dog with a luxating patella which he also fixed during the surgery. Barkley spent the night at the Center and came home the following afternoon. When we picked him up, we had a consult with a nurse who went over what we should do and not do. We went home with several meds (including pain pills and a cold/warm pack). The first three nights were difficult, but when I called Debra, Dr. Boulay's liaison, the first day with questions, she was wonderful and answered our questions and reassured us. Barkley had stitches removed at ten days post-op, and we had an appointment with the physical therapy specialist who was also wonderful and gave us exercises that Barley should do. All employees of the Center make sure you know to call them if you have any questions/concerns along the way. Everyone from the receptionists to the nurses to Dr,. Boulay are incredibly caring and helpful. Highly recommend if you need specialty veterinary care!

Excellent staff, caring service. We brought our dog in with a rattlesnake bite and were very impressed with the prompt and professional service. At 5am in the morning, we were not sure what type of service we would receive! A few days later, we had to bring in our puppy and again it was very early in the morning - quickly admitted and excellent care. I highly recommend this facility and staff! And the costs - very, very reasonable. Love you guys!

My foster had mysterious mouth pain for months. Dr. Roy was so thorough, compassionate and wonderful about checking in to see how Sweetie was doing. She discovered Sweetie suffers from masticatory myositis and saved her life. I am always impressed by the staff at VSCOT and am forever grateful to Dr. Roy, who made the whole ordeal pleasant for everyone. VSCOT is a Tucson treasure!

We recently had to take our dog Mojo into the Veterinary Specialty Center for emergency care. We are very pleased with the facility, the staff. We were treated very professionally and compassionately. While the prognosis for Mojo is not good, the care he received was excellent. While Mojo was in the hospital, I visited him and was in the ICU because the treatment rooms were full. I witnessed the staff interacting with other pets with caring professionalism. The pets were treated with dignity. I only interacted with a few, and would like to thank a few, whose names I remember. Corey the vet tech who I first interacted with; Dr. Williams who first saw Mojo; Dr. Goff who followed up with Mojo and spoke to me several times, both in person and on the phone; Michelle, the vet tech who reviewed the after care notes with me. I know there were others that I interacted with...the receptionists and some of the other staff. I want to thank all of you for being the most caring of individuals. You make the experience of taking a pet for emergency treatment a bit less stressful. A heartfelt thanks again! Mike and Lynn Sagara

We had to put our 18+ year old dog down in 2011 and they were remarkable. Caring, sensitive and know how much this means to you. They left us alone for 3 hours before I could finally say goodbye. Just last week, we had to take our 3 year old to them. Again, they treated her and us with caring, sensitivity and compassion. She had to have surgery for bladder stones and they were competent and quick. They explain everything to you so you'll understand what your pet is going through. I was a mess and they even handled me! They are available 24/7/365 for questions, concerns, etc. I recommend them highly.
