Dr Sheahan and the staff at Rosedale Veterinarian hospital are the best I have ever gone to. My 2 cats are terrified of going to the vet, so it's always been stressful for me to take them. Dr Sheahan somehow calms my kids (and me) down. She is very patient with them and treats them like they are her own pets, and by that I mean family. I also really appreciate that she doesn't over-sell me on products and un-necessary treatments. She and the staff have my kids best interest in mind.
July, 2014 - We took a kitten I found to this vet and they did all the tests, including a stool test. We were told that everything was clear except for the fleas and she was given a clear bill of health. Less than a week later the kitten had severe diarrhea. I took her to a different vet and was told the kitten has Giardia! Giving Rosedale vet the benefit of the doubt, it is possible the cat was not showing signs or Giardia as of the date of the visit. July 2013 - Last summer I found a stray puppy and took him to this vet. The puppy was given shots and one shot was injected right into the dermis, not under it. The puppy yelped loudly in pain and had a lump there for a couple weeks. He didn't cry from any of the other shot administered. Isn't giving a shot one of the most basic procedures of a medical professional? The shot was delivered into the dermis, not under it as it is supposed to be delivered. This was NOT a reaction to the vaccine, but a poorly administered shot!!! And now to make matters worse, I received a letter from this vet placing most of the blame on my failure to communicate. The letter also directed me to a website that was an attempt to make their wrong somehow right. I guess he wanted me to think it was just local swelling, but it was not. My dog had a lump in the dermis where the shot was injected. I have had many dogs in my 52 years, but none have ever screamed out in pain from a vaccination, nor had lumps in the dermis afterwards. He may think he is a great vet, but I will NEVER go back there. I am sticking to my reviews and will not change it. Unless I can change my review to ZERO stars??? I recommend you find a different vet! Southwest Veterinary on Brundage is where I have always gone and where I go now. I only went to this vet because they are very close to my home and it was rescued animals that were taken there, not my pets. None of my dogs will ever step paw in that place.
