I love this office. Some things are a little more expensive, but the specialists they have are the best. I like this office much better than the Murrieta office. The Carlsbad office is friendly and non-judgmental. I am a professional breeder and some vets have an immediate attitude because I dare to produce puppies. This office appreciates all the testing and commitment I make to better the breed.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE I just to don't have the time for reviewing BUSINESSES but this hits home and I find it necessary to let you know STAY AWAY They will empty your pocket with their Veterinary jargon. The front desk is made up of high school dropouts who could not get a job at WALMART Dr. Donald Krawiec, DVM, PhD is a joke does not remember most of the previous facts about your pet (most likely does not even take 5 minutes to review the pet's chart before coming into the room. He is more concern in making $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Sarit Dhupa, DVM, BVSc graduate of foreign veterinary school that is why his has a (BVSc) after his name usually from British Veterinary Schools plays the humble Indian guru only interested in cleaning your pocket. If YOUR pet dies no worry SARIT has a side company for PET Cremation (run by his wife) to make even more MONEY $$$$$$$$$$$ Go see them if you want to pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Here the list of what is so GREAT amount them 1. long waiting time even when you an appointment 2. If you need follow up with your pet's doctor they will try to get you into the ER so that they can charge you more money (their excuse is that your attending Veterinarian is unable) 3. They work on your fear and love of your pet 4. Speak to you in rhetoric and veterinarian jargon 5. Charge 40% more than the usual and customary charge 6. Don't care but the pets is all about money 7. KASIER Permanente for Animals (their new name) 8. BE WARE When partners of the firm( like Sarit Dhupa) ARE spokesperson for surgical Instruments and procedures of Veterinary companies (MOUTH PIECE SO THAT THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY (Because these veterinarian who provide surgical procedures can make more money by endorsing, and providing surgical procedures recommend by the . companies. These companies like to hire mediocre doctors, veterinarians, other health care providers by grooming them so that they can sell their companies products or procedures to the consumer (there is always investigative reporting like 20/20, Dateline. Frontline) in the past about these types of healthcare providers who recommend a particular procedure unbeknown to the consumer because he is getting a kick back GET SECOND OPINION

When my 9 yr old Rottweiler was diagnosed with Canine Bone Cancer, I was devastated. My vet referred me to Angel Care, where he had the best of the best on his team, working diligently to put the tumor into remission. Sadly, my boy lost his battle, the cancer was too aggressive. I am so deeply grateful for the caring, compassion, & support I received from Dr Ogilvie, Dr Proux & staff. This clinic is such a blessing. I am happy I was able to bring my boy here!

We have been taking our cat, Padre, to CVS for several years now. They were recommended to us by our primary vet, Dean Crowe, when our cat developed squamous cells on his nose. Padre is 16 years old and he also has renal problems and started to lose his eyesight last year. With the help of the entire staff including doctors Krawiec, Prouix,& Ogilvie, he is doing great for a feline of his age. Dr. Ashton treated his blindness and it has returned to the point where Padre can see and lead a happy life which is a miracle to us. We are grateful for her caring and kindness and expert advice & treatment. All of the vets and staff at CVS have gone the extra mile to care for Padre. They always follow-up to see how he is doing after our visits. You will receive the best care and service in an emergency for your pet and we highly recommend them. They are the best!

Adding to my first review.... my dog and I have also gotten to know Dr. Prouix and the rest of the radiation team very well. They were wonderful throughout the entire treatment plan. I always felt like my dog was in the best hands when they took her back for any treatment. Dr. Prouix took the time to explain everything and always returned my phone calls right away. Whenever he prescribed medication that was especially expensive, he would give me the option of getting a hand written prescription that would be cheaper at a pharmacy out in town. I have been to other specialty hospitals and California Veterinary Specialists is the absolute best. If you want the best care possible for your pet, I recommend you go to CVS. They truly want what is best for your pet. I wish I could get health care that was this good! Everyone is very friendly, and Doctors Prouix and Ogilvie are both experts in their field. I have recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so. I have been taking my dog here for chemotherapy and follow up care and feel lucky to have such a wonderful place close to home. Dr. Ogilvie is amazing; he is an expert in his field and has a great bedside manner. I would recommend California Veterinary Specialists, and particularly Dr. Ogilvie, to anyone who thinks of their pets as four legged children.
