Our two dogs have been patients at La Costa Animal Hospital since 2002. Over the years they have experienced quite a few health challenges. We have all always been treated with the utmost care and compassion. One of our dogs, Thor, has always been very anxious around men and extremely uncomfortable at a veterinarian's office. Dr. Schatzle was able to calm Thor's fears during their first meeting. Dr. Schatzle has always gone out of his way to make sure that Thor is comfortable and calm during all of his visits. The doctors and staff truly care about the patients in their care.

I have had the most wonderful experience since I started coming to La Costa Animal Hospital in 2005. Over the years, Dr. Schatzle has been an extraordinary and integral part of my pets’ lives. As I was recently dealing with the difficult diagnosis of cancer in my elderly kitty, Dr. Schatzle was kind and patient enough to answer all of my questions and help provide the best plan for keeping her as happy as possible during her final days. The staff is outstanding – many of them have been there since I starting visiting La Costa Animal Hospital, and you can tell that they really care about clients and their pets. I highly recommend Dr. Schatzle to anyone looking for a compassionate, thorough and exceptional veterinarian.

The exceptional care our pets receive from Dr. Schatzle and the staff at La Costa Animal Hospital is the finest I have ever experienced over many years and many other vets. They indeed treat our beloved pets as if they were their own. Dr. Schatzle takes the time required to carefully examine the animals and then to explain to us in detail what he has found and any possible treatment. All of this is done with the greatest compassion I have ever seen. We feel fortunate to know our pets are in the best hands and hearts for vet care.

Took my dog for ear infection. $159 later I've got the drops for 14 days. It is now the 10th day & her ear is still red. My 12 year old said they probably give you medicine that doesn't work so you have to go back. It was just a random comment & something like that never ever crossed my mind. I called to tell them her ear is not better & they said well the medicine must not be working bring her back in. I asked if it was a full office visit fee for this. They said no you get a $5 discount, making it only $54 instead of $59. Are you serious!!! I called a friends vet & their re-check fee is $17. I cancelled w/ La Costa & am scheduled w/ other vet tomorrow. I'd rather pay them a full office visit then pay La Costa again.

My experience at La Costa Animal Hospital was amazing. I did not have to wait at all for my appointment, the staff was really friendly and Dr. Dvorchak was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. Another thing I appreciated was that Dr. Dvorchak is very cost conscience and only recommended treatments that were absolutely necessary. Our puppy, Ginger, had a lot of health issues early in her life and she is now doing great. Sadly, I also had to put down our very sick cat recently and they were so amazing and supportive during the whole process. I highly recommend La Costa Animal Hospital and Dr. Dvorchak.
