Our darling family cat of only 1 yr and 6 months was struck by a vehicle and left in thee rode. He drug himself to he side of the rode and luckily a family saw as thy drove down the street stopped and saw his collar and called me. He was only across the street so I ran to see him. We rushed him the VCA where Dr. Karen Hume-Smith did an examination. Sadly I could not afford the procedures or treatment for my baby so we had to put him to sleep. She was extremely kind, empathetic, comforting.. and gave him a peaceful end. He was a beautiful animal and family member, I want to thank the team that helped us and stayed with us until he left us. Thank you so much.

They ruined my dog. I brought her in because she had discharge in her vagina and they immediately said its highly likely the cause is pyometra. They performed an xray for $300 but could not determine the fluid in her uterus because her colon was full of poo. They explained that surgery to remove her uterus was the only solution and that it could cost $1700 for the procedure. I told her that i wanted to breed my dog and she said antibiotics will not help, only surgery. I asked twice if antibiotics could take care of the issue and the vet said she was always taught that surgery is the only solution. She said that if i didn't take care of it immediately that my dog was most likely going to get worse and die. What else could i do, but rush her into surgery the next morning. I pick her up that night and another vet explained the procedure and said "well, she was a little enlarged, but didn't have pus. She had a tiny cyst which might have been the cause, but we are not sure." Then he said, "oh well, she needed to be spayed anyway." I told him that i didn't want her spayed and that i had asked for antibiotics. He replied, "oh, that never works, surgery is the only way... Then as i look at my carved up dog, he says "some dogs are just not meant to breed". Oh man, It took everything not jump the counter and beat this man. I've been to this place a few times and every time they over charge and over sell. They play the "don't you love your dog" game. I highly recommend looking elsewhere to an honest vet that will not prey on owners who love their pets.

Took my cat here just for a physical and a update on his shots. Did not get over charged and they were very knowlagable. Called the day of my appointment to make an appointment. Got me in right away no emergency. UPDATE: Took my cat here for a checkup they said he was a few pounds over weight and gave me a free months supply of weightloss dry food and two cans of weightloss wet food. I was also given a specialized to my cat feeding chart at no extra cost. I will be returning here for all my pet needs even if I move a little farther away.

Very professional, Honest, and realistic! My dog had been throwing up for two days and I was on a $30 budget. The staff and Vet were EXTREMELY compassionate of my situation and the vet took his time to evaluate her situation even though he had a line of patients going out the door. He gave me a list of tips I could do at home as well as giving me medication that was under $30, and said I could call and talk to him if there were any changes in her situation. I Highly recommend this place!!!
