To my husband and I, our little dog is our child because we do not have any children. Therefore, when it comes to finding a veterinarian for our dog, we are willing to drive 2 to 3 hours for our dog’s care if we find the right vet. We did a lot of research before we decided to take our dog to the American Pet Clinic in Ceres for his teeth cleaning. I called and spoke to “Kiki” – one of the staff there – over many phone calls and questions, coming up with various excuses to call. Kiki’s friendly and professional attitude and demeanor never changed, answering each and every question patiently. Shawn was the one who took clinical care for our dog. He had an impressive ability to establish rapport with our frightened little dog in a new environment, and his love for dogs was obvious to see. Dr. Basra explained all the procedures thoroughly in a way that made it clear that he cares about and loves animals. Seeing Shawn and Dr. Basra in action made it possible for me to feel that I can leave my dog here with confidence. Dr. Basra found a cavity behind one of my dog’s molars, hidden underneath a layer of tartar buildup, which I was not aware of. I have been brushing my dog’s teeth 3 to 4 times per day and I thought I knew his dental condition very well. He painstakingly not only removed all of the tartar but also cleaned up the cavity thoroughly. For another molar, which was loose, Dr. Basra cleaned it without resorting to extraction. We are very grateful to Dr. Basra for saving our dog’s tooth. Dr. Basra that we experienced is an honorable man and a skillful clinician whose genuine love of animals is easy to see. He is pleasant and friendly, with a sunny disposition. Lastly, the clinic’s physical environment is very clean, all the staff are friendly, and their prices are very reasonable with no hidden costs. Another thing that made me feel comfortable about the American Pet Clinic was that they allowed me to take my dog to the kennel and wrap him in his own blanket when my dog was overwhelmed with separation anxiety. Let me add that the kennel was very clean and located next to the staff’s area, not hidden in some back corner, allowing me to feel safe in leaving my baby (dog) with them. If I would wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to others and I would also come back even if I have to drive many hours to get here.

I find the staff and doctors both caring and knowledgeable. They are amicable to discuss patient care with me as well as other physicians in the area. My cat has had the best of care.

Awsome friendly staff! I took my dog in for a huge abcest on his neck. They took care of it the same day. My Dog ripped out the drain tube, NO PROBLEM!, no extra charge! I got in quick and out quick, great place would recommed to anyone!

Dr Basra is an exceptional doctor! I just love him - he's one of the best doctors I've ever met. He doesn't try to give you something you or your pet doesn't need.

We have taken several cats in to be fixed they do a great job. The cost is low and fair.
