I had the absolute worst experience at this place. My boxer's hind legs were giving out (arthritic spine). She was only 7 3/4 years old and the surgeon at VSA said if he operated she had a 70% of a successful outcome. It was the absolute WORST decision I have ever made. My poor girl was in complete misery. We brought her home and she developed pancreatitis and nearly died. We rushed her back to VSA where she was hospitalized for 5 days. We brought her home again and tended to her day and night. She developed a urinary tract infection due to her catheter. After 3 weeks I brought her back to VSA where the surgeon determined Lacey was paralyzed. He said, "it's really hard to stop a downward spiral". Why didn't he tell me that when he told me she had a 70% chance if we did the surgery? We had to put Lacey to sleep. The cost of this terrible decision was over $10,000. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT think they had my dog's best interest in mind. They just wanted the money and played on my emotions. I would NEVER go back to this place and would never recommend it to anyone.
