I have taken all of my fur babies to this vet since 1980 and have never been dissatisfied. Every doctor is caring for both my pets and myself. Through new puppy and kitten care to senior care, boarding, emergencies, terminal illness and in between, the entire staff is thoughtful and helpful. Even though I don't live as close as I used to when I started there, I continue to entrust my fur babies to them.

Renee Herrera,D.V.M and the staff has taken great care of my senior dog OSCAR. they explain in great detail if you have any questions and explain the cost and talk about what they can offer your pet if expense is an issue. After a procedure that required stitches Dr.Herrera called the next day to ask how my dog Oscar was doing personally instead of one of the staff. I have been taking my dog here for the last 3 and a half years and would never think of changing. I have also boarded my dog without worrying about him staff for boarding is there 24 hours and can call for check ups any time. I would without a doubt recommend them for your pet.

I have been taking my formerly (3) pets to this facility for years trusting that the service would improve. Recommended by a friend I continued to trust them. My first dog passed away at this hospital. I was then instructed of my options. I chose to have him cremated and asked that the ashes be given to me for a burial at sea. After never hearing from them I inquired! Oops! They disposed of them against my wishes. Later I obtained 2 terriers. My mistake was to continue to use this facility. I don't doubt that they care about animals, but I can clearly tell you they are the biggest rip off I have ever encountered. I spent over $3000.00 with them to find the correct meds to control what they "think" are seizures. It was a process of elimation. No science, for every test they did was a waste of my hard earned money. Next, I had a problem with my younger terrier. We were over $900.00 in less that a week in exams, xrays, more exams, more xrays and meds - conclusion after I spent all this money "Oh, he has inflammation in his digestive tract! I have never walked away from this place without spending $100-$600.00 and while waiting I watched others leaving with bills of always over $100 if not $600! My opinion: find a place that is more personable and organized. Many times they have the incorrect information on my med sheets and they confuse my two dogs. They have grown so big that they lack quality and it appears they need the money to pay for their exquisite new hospital. Overkill! They even give us (LOL) a cute cheap lease to take home! Like we all dont have our own? All I want is a good, compassionate Vet. I came to my conclusion when Dr. Farrah Heiz told me if we didn't perform these numberous tests that my dog might die! And then to find out all he needed was pepcid and a special diet. Beware, for my dog is only 14 lbs & they recommended he take the new food for a week but could only sell me it in 10lbs bags! I am in the process of finding a quality, caring, and reasonable Vet. I will have the records transferred and NEVER, NEVER go there again and since I am a large business owner in Newport Beach, I will also never recommend this facility to anyone! I have never in my life been so dis-satisfied with any service. Our pets are the love of our life and they totally take advantage of this emotion. I suggest to everyone - Find a different place to take your pets unless you just want to support their fancy pocketbooks! They are the biggest rip off in town!

I came here in a panic after my greyhound had broken his tail and my current vets were all at lunch and not available. Dr. Sarah Wind saw him immediately and let me know the prognosis within hours after a though examination - they were going to have to amputate the tail. The surgery was the next morning, and great care was taken to make the tail look as normal as possible. She did a beautiful job, and 2 months later he is fully healed and the hair has grown back on the end of the tail. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable, the doctors thorough with the tests and procedures without going overboard. Their love of animals really shows. I am now moving all of my records to NHAH, and this will now be the home for all of my greyhounds needs. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone!
