We have been taking our dog there for the past 5 years. Even though we moved to San Mateo, we still take him there. Doctors are great and reasonable. My friends I sent to them are also happy. They finally remodeled the front area and it is so much better now!
I needed to bring my dogs in because they were developing "hot spots" which turned out to be due to allergic reactions to flea bites. The vet saw my dogs on short notice for a very reasonable amount of money and provided me with the necessary meds to get them over the flea problem and related allergic reactions. The vet and her staff were a dream to deal with and really related well to my dogs. This was especially important, because one of my dogs is a pitbull/German shepard mix, who (although NOT human aggressive) is very energetic and worried our former vet enough that we often had to muzzle her in order for the vet and staff to treat her. The female vet at St. Francis had fantastic rapport with both of my dogs, which made the visit very comfortable for both of my dogs and for me. She has become my vet of choice, and I will also be bringing in my cats when they need veterinarian services.
I've taken my dogs there since 2000. 5 stars for Drs. Fernando Falcis and C.C. Falcis. Very caring veterinarians. The facilities need to be renovated. Fair service charges. There is a Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital across the street which is convenient when the need arises.
I have been going to St. Francis Veterinary with my two American Eskimos for many years. We started when Dr. Falcis was the full time vet at St. Francis and now that his daughter, CeCe, is starting to take over the practice we continue to go. We are always met with smiles by all the staff, several that are part of their immediate family. Towards the end of last year my 15 year old eskie became very ill and started to affect her quality of life. CeCe and I tried all we could to make her comfortable through meds but in the end we had to make a decision to put her to sleep. My entire family went with me to St. Francis where along with both Falcis vets, father and daughter, they helped us make her passing peaceful and quick. They were very supportive, comforting and patient with us. St. Francis is much more affordable then other vets and their Saturday clinics for shots is also by far the least expensive and easy since you do not have to make an appt. or stand in line at a pet store. I highly recommend this little veterinary hospital with a huge heart. I will continue to take my 5 year old eskie to see Dr. Falcis for the rest of his life.
