Nice people, reasonable pricing. Really appear to care

We have been going to this place for almost 10yrs. At first it was great! The vets were great and the staff were so friendly. Last year is when we really noticed a change in the vet/office staff's attitude. The vet we'd had a raport with was no longer there and the newer vet did not really listen to our concerns about our 8 yrs old dog's chronic ear problems. We went in 10 days ago because her ear was swollen again for the 2nd time this year (hemotomin). The vet kept saying that she had surgery in that ear (which we tried to tell her 5 or 6 x's it was the other ear), we left with the usual pretnisone/otomax mix with the understanding that if it gets worse we should come back. Within 8 days her whole ear was swollen, by the time we got in (bc of the holiday) the whole thing was swollen base to tip. We waited 30 min in the exam room for the vet to come in and blow us off saying it would take 6 wks for the swelling to go down. We asked for surgery and an estimate. The cost? $2000! And that we got from the tech. we saw the vet for about 10 min. We said no thanks and will go somewhere else. Worst experience! We called the vet who did the first surgery and quoted us 2/3rds less than what danville did and with 110% better service. If you wanna pay out the end for below grade service this is the place to go.

I took my dog to Danville Veterinary Hospital and they cared for him as if it was there own! Thank you guys! They are extremely professional and well rounded veterinarians and if your pet is in trouble, you can trust the drs!!
