I took my hamster in because she showed signs of having Wet Tail. I was immediately shown into a room and had about a 15 minute wait before I was seen. Dr. McDonald was very helpful and answered all my questions. The price was very reasonable considering it was an emergency visit. Total was $142. The included visit, antibiotics, Critical Care food and an IV she was given to help keep her hydrated.

After my dog was hit by a car by an inconsiderate driver who took off, I called around and the County Animal Control told me that I can take my dog to an emergency clinic in Diamond Bar which was not too far away. I took my dog here as they were the only facility open on a Friday night. The East Valley ER was busy and crowded! But the staff were friendly, receptive and took our dog into their exam room ASAP on a gurney. They quickly assessed the injuries and the vet came out 3 times to let us know the status that night. Each time a procedure, drug, or service was to be performed, a staff member would come out and give us a written estimate on the costs. A fractured pelvis was found in the X Rays and they were not orthopedic vet specialists. The vet made sure my dog had enough pain management medication for the ride to Tustin. They were nice enough to even make an appointment for a specialty surgery place in Tustin the next day on a Saturday (see my other reviews for Veterinary Surgical Specialists). So my dog had to spend an overnight with IV fluids, pain injections and sedation. They know exactly what they are doing - they do only what is necessary to stabilize and buy time for your pet until you can get to further care. The staff were so professional that they included my dog's blood lab work, X Rays on CD, and directions to the surgical facility. My dog when he came out of the ER that next day in the afternoon had a cute green flexible cast with 2 IV tubes neatly wrapped so that the surgical team in Tustin would not have stab the veins and humanely re-use the IV lines for the surgeons. A very positive experience by these great vet doctors and staff! Did you know that the vet works around the clock ? While the staff changes shifts - different people were there when we picked up our dog, I notice our vet worked from Friday afternoon till past Saturday afternoon - she was on the clock for over 18 hours which made me realize that she work really hard and truly cares about your pet! Remember, this is an emergency care clinic and you will pay for that service when other vets are closed so don't let your emotions get involved - be realistic including options such as giving up your pet if you can't afford the services or else euthanasia..... Folks - do not say bad things about this place because your pet was too old, too far gone, or had to be put down. They do what they do best - emergency triage in a field situation. Like in a human war conflict, they are very similar to the old TV series: MASH 4077th - they save lives and buy time so that their patients can be transported to a real hospital for care, surgery, and rehabilitation! They did the right thing for what they do - assess, analyze, offer options, treat, and stabilize your pet until they can see your regular vet the next business day. They are open in the evenings and into the next mornings on the weekdays. On weekends and holidays they are open 24 hours. If something like this happens again, I would return!

I had a client whose bearded dragon laid eggs. She was not eating and acting weird so he visited this hospital after hours on saturday. The diagnosis was "respiratory infection" and dehydration. They gave antibiotics and inhectable water. On sunday same lizard saw same vet. This time she was pronounced DEAD! By a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine! I then saw the lizard on Monday very much alive. Correct diagnosis, calcium deficiency. Further discussion discovers the animals UVB lamp burned out also. An egg laying female lizard using up much of her calcium stores. Without UVB the animal cannot restore them to normal levels. No vitamin D in the blood to make this possible. I sold the gentleman a UVB lamp and now today it is 24 hours later, Tuesday. The lizard is eating normally. Calcium will restore soon enough. The animal is hip for a full recovery, this after a DVM diagnosed her as dead! Do NOT take your reptiles here. I brought my dog in to be put down last night. It was my first time ever there. I had made an appointment with my regular Vet today but she was continuously bleeding from one of her eyes and I decided she needed to go to emergency. Walking in, I thought that the service would be a more personable especially because they see people in high-emotional states. There were two young lady receptionists who seemed to not really want to be there. They may have been tired? My experience felt unwelcoming and cold. It may have been because this was the first time I was there and it's a new place. However, I expected the staff to be more sympathetic when giving the euthanasia service. The staff at my regular Vet are always so caring, patient, and personable no matter how busy or tired they are. A smile goes a long way.

Dr. LeFave was very kind in helping our dog with her shoulder injury. She walked us through the xrays and made recommendations that we found very professional. The prices are competetive with respect to the surrounding 24 hour pet clinics. I will likely come here again if problems arise after hours or on holidays. We did not have to wait long for examination or treatment, but it wasn't fast-food speed either.
