I've been here twice, and am grateful I don't take my pets here. The first time was a Sunday afternoon in July. I found a baby kitten in my backyard, and to me, he didn't look so well. I brought him in without an appointment(I will hand it to Banfield, their hours are convenient). I just wanted someone to look at him and tell me this kitty wasn't going to die. The woman at the counter told me I had to make an appointment, and wouldn't even look at the kitten. Since no one else was open, I did my best with the kitten. By the way, he was 1.5 pounds and covered in fleas. The second time, I found a tick on my dog. I pulled it out myself, and just wanted to make sure that I had pulled the head, too. Banfield was closest to my house, and again had convenient hours. I handed the tick(in a bag) to the girl behind the counter. She said the vet was in with someone, but would ask when she came out. I told her no worries, I was in no rush. Maybe that was my mistake. 20 minutes later, the girl says the vet is still with a patient, and I should just hang out. 45 minutes of waiting, I asked if I could leave my name and number. She told me no, that the vets can't diagnose the tick unless I'm there. I told her all I needed to know was if I got the head or not. She then told me she wasn't even supposed to take the tick from me at all. So, I asked for it back and left. I will not be back, and do not recommend Banfield to anyone.

I will never take my pet to this place ever again. Based on their incompetence, the vets on staff sem to be from the bottom of their graduating class. They cannot diagnose properly, nor can they prescribe medications correctly, which is the absolute scariest part of all. Then there is the front desk staff. Sometimes, they can be nice, but most of the time, they were rude, and not just with me! I witnessed their unprofessionalism to other clients, as well. Then there is their highly uncooperative attitude, superior attutude, and their lack of common sense (which I have also seen firsthand with the vets themselves). Just, please, if you really love your pet(s), take them to some other place that will treat your pet and YOU like you both deserve. No person or pet should be subjected to this veterinary practice. They simply are not fit to take care of your beloved pet or you.

My rat had pneumonia so we took her in to see if there was anything we could do. According to this vet, there was nothing, and so we had to pay $40 for her to tell us that, and another $75 for her to kill my rat. They wouldn't even let me be there with my rat when they put her to sleep. I came back when my second rat grew a tumourous-looking lump on her body. They couldn't do much anything about the lump, but did try to convince me to pay $300 on shots for mites, or $80 on a toxic chemical bath for mites. I didn't even care about the mites! I ended up finding a Much better medicine for the mites that worked instantly, and only cost me $6. They sold me $40 of antibiotics for the rat, who got sick again later. I never even got to know the vet's name, and when she was "examining" my rat, people in the back room kept telling her to hurry up and look at somebody else's pet, so the whole $40 appointment was rushed and not comfortable at all. Right before she left, she said something like, "Oh and by the way, your rat's obese." And didn't even tell me what to do about it. Horrid! Don't fall into this MONEY HUNGRY trap that won't help your pet!
