I really wanted to give this place a chance, I saw they had high google reviews, but it was not the best experience for me. The receptionist was very sweet, gave me all of the paperwork to fill out and we were actually seated in the "kitty room" right at 8:15AM, which was my appointment time, so I was pretty happy. My kitten was weighed and we had some questions answered about the kitten care packages, then we had to wait for the doctor to come in. My fiancé and I waited an ENTIRE HOUR before we decided, we have stuff that needs to get done today, like homework and grocery shopping and other errands to run. We come to the decision I would take our kitten to her first wellness exam at a different clinic next week. Not only did we hear the receptionist who checked us in forget we were in the kitty room, but she didn't check up to see if we had been helped by the veterinarian yet. We were walking out and trying to just be nice when the receptionist asked how everything went. We just let her know we actually hadn't been seen by the vet and we have other obligations today, but we waited an hour and we think that is reasonable and now we need to be on our way. The receptionist had to clarify we had not been seen and a customer she had been helping interjected "WE" should have come out of the room to check why it was taking so long. The thing is, we checked in, it is the receptionist's job to know we are in that room and to accommodate us. We were VERY patient and we were even nice after we realized it was a lost cause. We didn't whine and complain, we just let her know we are checking out because it has been an hour and we just have other stuff to do today. Overall, I had really high hopes based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I am going to be scheduling at a different clinic because now I know, you pay for what you get. The prices at Mohnacky are what drew me in and they were really nice on the phone, but WOW. One entire hour wait and the most they did was tell me my cat weighed 3 pounds.

Nothing but a great experience for my Cody and he is on the mend. Dr. Janet and all the staff were wonderful. The cost was fair and we will be returning customers.

These wonderful and caring people take good care of our three cats, two of which are elderly, and we have the utmost confidence in the care that they are given. We get thorough explanations about treatment and meds. We have even gotten good advice when we just ask about general behaviors and situations, even on the phone. They are so willing to go the extra mile in doing research and finding just the right treatment. We are constantly impressed.

We currently have 2 of our family pets Toby & Kasey, our 2 "fur people", in the wonderful care of the fine folks at Mohnacky in Escondido. They both are on the yearly maintenance plan and we couldn't be happier with the experiences we have had so far to date. if you haven't looked in to it for your pet...you need to look no further!!

I highly recommend Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Escondido. Dr. Anderson is extremely knowledgable when treating my dogs. I discovered Mohnacky four years ago when my little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was having difficulty walking. Dr. Anderson correctly diagnosed him with Patella Luxation and bending femurs. Even though my little Cavalier had two surgeries three months apart with a veterinary surgeon at a different place in San Diego, the Mohnacky staff still called continually over the next few weeks to check on his status. This was greatly appreciated, since there was quite a bit of care involved with my dog's recuperation at home. They were always very helpful. In addition, the entire staff is always very professional and friendly. Best of all, my dogs enjoy their visits to Mohnacky. I will always refer my friends to Mohnacky whenever possible!
