I think these people are total crooks. I have a young dog who didn't eat for a couple days and was a little lethargic. I called to make an apt stating it was NOT an emergency. guy said $55 to walk in door, which is more than reg. vets but they're close to me so I said ok and made apt for next morning. Next morning dog was much improved, tail wagging, regular energy. Took her in anyway, vet spent one minute looking at her and wanted to do a bunch of tests, including one for parvo (VERY expensive just for that test alone. ) Hello?!? I've seen dogs with parvo, they sure don't walk around all happy like my dog was. So they give me a printout of all these tests they want to do and it comes to $750.00!! just to rule stuff out! I said, what the hell? are you crazy? I said, look at this dog! She acted like she didn't feel well yesterday, but today she seems fine, she obviously doesn't have parvo, and you want me to spend $750 for nothing. I know dogs cant talk (which they felt compelled to point out to me) but you're supposed to know something about what you're doing in caring for animals without being able to actually talk to them. I said no, i'm leaving, and to top it off, they charged me $65, not the $55 the guy told me on the phone. $65 to spend one minute with my dog and do absolutely nothing. Thieves! I paid it and told them I would never come back there again, and I never will. Total rip-off. That was actually several months ago, and btw, after I took my dog home, she was totally fine and ate normally again and she's been fine ever since

A great place to go into debt if you like sitting around feeling scared, they occasional have animals in there but I don't know how they find them under the overpriced estimates, receipts, and stacks of cash. Sometimes things happen after hours and you need an emergency vet, but if you can, head to Southern County Veterinarian Hospital in Selma. That place has heart, and won't put you in debt, got my little girl vaccinated, a cast, five xrays, prescription, and an overnight evaluation, ALL FOR HALF THE MONEY this placed charged for the visit, blood test, and three xrays.

Took my puppy in to the vet for the first time and was terrified of the bill! Of course I knew the dog would be fine, it was just some allergy medication, so the only thing on my mind was the damage this cute little thing was already costing me. To my surprise it was HALF of what I expected to pay!! Never have my friends had the same luck as me, I recommend Vet Emergency Services to all my fellow pet lovers, they care about your pet as much as they do you!

I have taken my dog here quite a few times now, poor thing always seems to be sick or have some kind of ailment. Dr. Nagel has taken very good care of her and I trust her completely, always offers to go above and beyond to make sure I am 100% confident in both the treatment and the answers to any questions I may have. I love the way they leave their door (and phone) open to their clients in case they have any concerns. Thank you so much for all you have done for my "other child".
