My husband and I brought our cat in when she was very ill. Our vet recommended them and we were initially skeptical as we used a different emergency vet in the past and were very upset by the whole experience. Crossroads was extremely clean and the staff was excellent. I've recommended Crossroads to several people. I highly recommend Crossroads and would not hesitate taking any of my five pets back to them.

I think they did a great job when my cat was sick. They were compassionate and explained my options very well. Yes, it was more money than I bargained for...but isn't it always. I am beyond thankful that if I have an emergency, I have a state of the art place to go at all hours. I think they are better than the one if FV where I had to travel a few times...I would go here now every time. (Hopefully I don't have to go often!)

I took my 5 month old Maine Coon here Tuesday evening because he collapsed when walking to greet me. It was recommended due to my location to go to another clinic, but the reviews at Crossroads were superior and worth the extra drive. Dr. Wendy started him on IVs for hydration while running his tests. The results were so bad, she ran them again to make sure there was not an error in the machine. He was experiencing kidney failure and his heart was in danger of failing as well. After a long night, his heart was stabilized, but his kidneys did not show any improvement, which was needed for a positive outlook of survival. She contacted my vet first thing Wednesday morning and had his file sent over along with instructions. I picked him up and his normal vet took over. They were pleased with the care he received and said it gave him a good chance to make it through this. After a long Wednesday of our normal vet repeating the treatment Dr. Wendy had started, we finally saw hope in his test results. We brought him back to Dr. Wendy Wednesday night since he would need hourly testing and care. Our vet recommended this instead of having him settled at a new 24 hour ICU facility close by. She called me first thing this morning (6am) with his latest test results and a happy attitude - we were finally almost to a safe level. We are back at his normal vet and it looks like he will come home tonight. Dr Wendy's care, communication, and sensitivity to the situation was more than I could have asked for. Situations like this are expensive, but we came in under the approved estimate both nights which was a relief. They quickly refunded my credit card for the unused deposit balance before discharging him. To top it off, the facility was incredibly clean and comfortable. Highly recommended if you are in need of emergency or PM care!

Great place to go if you have a sick animal outside normal veterinary office hours. The staff was excellent with my sick cat and kept me informed as to his condition and next steps that could be needed. My cat was nervous and clearly in trouble and the staff was kind and provided him with attention, which seemed to help calm him down. In the past 6 months I had to take 2 of my dogs, separate visits, different situations, for emergency treatment at the Crossroads emergency on Beach Blvd, HB. Both times my experience was beyond expectations. The personnel and doctors are wonderful and caring. The doctors have an abundance of knowledge and expend time explaining what was happening, the recommended treatment and all options available. My regular vet received fax the very next day with complete information on what was done. We are lucky to have a place like that to rely upon when needed. The doctors are also available for questions at any time we need.
