THIS is the most compassionate, knowledgeable group of people I have encountered working with animals. Not only do they know and share with clarity their comprehensive information in the more traditional veterinary language, but they incorporate alternate methods (that they will also explain) that kept my dog alive for eight years beyond his life expectancy once diagnosed with a terminal illness. Additionally, Dr. Palmquist and his kind team were there for me when it was time to let Bo-Diddly go and transition. Thank you for helping me with my cat also who has some dental challenges. And now my new dog, who through nutrition and supplements has dealt with an anxiety disorder. I highly recommend them. Make an appointment is best, as this is a busy clinic and the waiting room is on the smaller size and can be challenging.
I use to change vets every year or so because I never felt like he/she would look for the cause of a problem. Those vets would keep testing for this and that & I would keep paying for expensive tests for nothing. Dr. Palmquest on the other hand is the BEST diagnostician I've ever met. I have several pets and have rescued dozens of animals so I'm there several times a year with a variety of problems. He was NEVER wrong. My animals depend on me to protect them and I will always count on Centinela Animal Hospital to keep them healthy. The physical appearance may lack style and frills but who cares, I want my dollars to go for expert & loving care for my 4 legged kids.
Yes, sometimes you have to wait, but I have come to view it as a function of Dr. Palmquist willingness to spend as much time as your pet needs, despite his schedule pressures and the risk of alienating some clients. If you have a really sick pet, that is what you hope for. Dr. Palmquist is the kind of a doctor you wish you could have taking care of you. Utilizing holistic and/or the least toxic course of treatment, he prescribes medications which all have side effects only as a last resort, and not routinely. Having been to many vets, I think he is the BEST!
What would you say when you entered the wait room with only one owner/dog ahead of you and you arrived 10 mins early for your appointment. Then while waiting past your appointment time (2:30) a late owner/dog arrives for his 2:15 ( after your expected 2:30 scheduled) and the office staff thinks it's a good idea to allow the late appointment in before you. Of yes, I was seen one hour after my scheduled appointment. No one took responsibility and the front desk ignored my questioning their behavior. The Dr. only wanted to talk about my dog and not about what their front desk is doing...no personal responsibility by the staff or Dr's ! ?
Waited 2 hours with a room full of uncaring receptionists who let others before us. Don't waste your time here because they don't care nor are they professional.
