Great doctor and pleasant staff! On our way back to LA from San Diego, Dawg got into a bag of trail mix that had macadamia nuts in it. Knowing that these particular nuts are BAD for dogs, we called our vet in Pasadena. He said to take her to the closest vet. There were several around but since my favorite aunt's name was Paz... I know that's not a proper way to choose a vet, but we were in a big rush to get her to a vet, any vet, and Paz seemed like she was pointing us to this hospital. As it turned out, it was an EXCELLENT CHOICE! They treated her immediately! They even let Dawg's dad go back and be with her during the whole time she was there. While she was so cooperative (drug induced!), and after the nuts had been expelled, they cut her nails and cleaned her ears. A half hour later, she came out looking a lot better than when she went in. In fact, she looked better than she had in a long time! She was high on morphine! If we lived near here, Dr. Abdella would be our vet. If we need a vet between home and grandma's, this is where we'll return,
