I must say - if first impressions mean anything my experience with Affordable Animal Hospital was truly the best. We have three little rescue Maltese's - two about 10-years old and the other a puppy. The care and compassion was very evident - these folks truly love and care about our little extended family members and have provided them with excellent care. There are a number of good animal hospitals in Long Beach - some with care as good - but truly not better. They have earned not only my trust, but also my continued business.

Vet told me my dog was dehydrated. But then he refused to hydrate my dog if I didn't purchase the $280 of diagnostics that he wanted to sell me. Dehydration is life threatening and if my dog really is dehydrated, as he said, not rehydrating him is endangering his life. Also, the vet was not very understanding gentle or compassionate when handling my dog. Not very "affordable", wise, or compassionate.

I called for a rabies vaccine, they told me I could have an appointment for this afternoon or come on in as a walk in. I went for the walk in was greeted when I walked in the door, BUT SO WAS MY PET! They treated us both with care and respect. The office was clean and inviting. When I told them that there was a discrepancy with her age they looked and then showed me the age markers, and gave her a treat. I will never have a problem taking my babies there!

The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a animal hospital. The desk people are totally inept. Complete morons.

This Pet Hospital is one of a kind. They are so companionate and caring and do all that they can to make their care affordable for the average pet owner. They will work with each client to do what is the best for the pet and the person in difficult situations all with compassion for the animals and the people who love them so much. They are magic with the animals.
