I Love both doctors I have taken my golden too! He has a tumor on his heart and has had to have it tapped 3 times. This procedure isn't easy and Dr. MUSTAKAS literally saved his life twice! The last visit we saw dr. Edmunson and she was extremely helpful, nice and informative on obtaining medication from the most economical source :)
We take our dog here and nowhere else. The staff obviously cares a great deal about the comfort and health of animals. They remember our dog by name when we come in, and have accommodated us with last-minute boarding needs in the past, even around the holidays when they were very busy. Completely satisfied. I trust them fully.
My cat was drooling and then obviously in pain. Took him in and they lifted his lip, found a loose tooth and told me he needed his teeth cleaned and extractions. The estimate was 3-400.00. They gave me antibiotics and it took me three months to save the money. The day that I took him in they told me there was an important blood test, not on the estimate that was 150.00. After I broke down in tears they agreed to do the test with the cleaning for 400.00. An hour or so later I got "THE" phone call. My baby had inoperable cancer on his tongue and month to live. They went ahead without asking and "cleaned" his teeth but did not do the extractions. On a cat that had one month to live. And he still had his "bad" infected teeth. When I asked them what the symptoms were for the cancerous ulcer they described perfectly the original symptoms that brought me there in the first place. But they never bothered to open his mouth. He actually lived for 4 months but still, to do a useless 400.00 procedure on a cat that was estimated to have one month to live? What the hell were they thinking....all they had to do was open his mouth. They were not mean people or anything but I guess they sure are money hungry. I did not have another place to go so went there for his cancer "treatment" and they were kind and gave him prednizone to make him feel better, And did a two step euthanasia when the time came and then pulled his tooth for me to keep. I took a second cat in later and was told exactly the same thing. I asked if there was any way that we could look in her mouth FIRST. That estimate was 100-150 to anesthetize her just to look. Or pay 400.00 plus again for a cleaning. I have found another vet who did look, just needed a towel and an assistant to hold her, and says she has a gum infection and about 2 molars left so there is nothing to clean in there....I am SOO glad that I found someone else.
