We'd been taking our dog here since she was a pup (3 years now). I loved it -- clean facilities, friendly staff. And since we live in the 'hood, I was always quick to recommend it. But they've become just too damn popular. When my dog cut her paw in the park, I called to get her an appointment. This was a Thursday -- and the soonest they had was Tuesday. But! The receptionist told me if I wanted to pay 2x the vet visit fee (or $125.00), I could get her in that day. So much for loyalty. I've found a new vet.

This place is the worst. We took my friends dog there because he was panting heavily and had a tender belly. After almost $1000 they told us his potassium level was so high he might die, and that we needed to take him to a different hospital because they were closing at 6. We took him to VCA on sepulveda, which is amazing! They told us his potassium was fine, that Hancock vets must have mis-read their machine or their machines are not calibrated correctly. This place is a scam- and this is the short version of the story. Don't waste your time here

They really helped with our elderly hound when we've run into crunches. Kudos to the front office.

Dr White is the main vet there and I would recommend making an apt directly with her. There are no hidden costs and very fair for the price. She cares, very empathetic. The receptionist was understanding when I had to reschedule last minute (1 day before) for health reasons. Your pet is worth every penny!
