I live locally and always took my pet to these vets despite the fact they seemed greedy as hell. When I became homeless and on general relief, I took my dying pet in. They would do virtually nothing. They wanted an obscene amount of money on the spot and sent me packing. My beloved pet died the next day. Probably all he needed was to be hydrated and some thyroid medication. When my last pet faced death from old age (19 years) and was scheduled to be euthanized, they plied me with their famous "options" and tried to get me to pay out big bucks for this or that... The experience was jolting. Their interest was only in how much money they could extract from me.
All of the staff at VCA Miller Robertson are super friendly and wonderfully competent. The setting is clean and pleasant. Our cat's vet there, Dr. Tadji, is fantastic. She knows just how to handle our cat and pet her the way she likes, to make exams as painless as possible. Miller-Robertson even has people treats on the counter!
My first visit to VCA Miller animal hospital was about a year ago. We had an initial visit check-up and a ring worm test done. They said they would call us back with the results...no call back was made. Then about a month ago our dog had an issue...$500 dollars later again they said they would call back with the lab results...again no call back, and our dog was still sick. My wife met a vet while hiking in the local mountains and without seeing our dog gave us some advise that pulled him out of his slump within a couple of days. I went back to VCA Miller to ask them to submit our insurance claims, and they screwed that up as well because I had to go back there twice more to have them submit the correct paperwork.
I have taken my dog here for a decade. I have always found good people who care about their patients. They've always handled my insurance forms correctly and in a timely fashion. I particularly love Dr. Lomond. I think for the most part, people don't review or rate unless they are unhappy about something. Considering that this office is always busy and people stay for years, speaks for itself.
Again - hard-sell for unnecessary procedures, staff changes, outright wrong diagnoses and rude staff. I have used them over the years from time to time since I do Private rescue but I tend to stick with Either Boulevard pet or Laurel pet for superior experienced & knowledge.
