WORST EXPERIENCE of my life. I left for work at 1:30 Tuesday I got home around 10:10 that evening to a very sick 1 year old pekingese. He could not stop vomiting. I got him cleaned up and rushed him to this money sucker posing as an animal hospital. They took him to the back where they reported a very low temperature and pale gums. They took another 40 minutes to present an 'estimate' which was $416.00 for a blood test and x-rays. I opted to only do the x-rays I was most concerned with an obstruction. When I told them this, they took another 25 minutes preparing that estimate. I agreed to those charges. I sat for an hour in the waiting room. They bring in the x-rays not my dog. They say the X-rays are not definitive, and they are preparing yet another estimate on how to better diagnose his health problem. Another 15 minutes goes by and I now have an estimate, to the tune of $1500 for a one night stay and a barium series of x-rays to see if there is in fact a block. Lets not forget to mention a $300 miscellaneous fee included on the estimate. A part-time cashier/full-time student does not have $1700 for diagnostics and no treatment. I opted to take him home against their advice and get a second opinion in the morning. Here is my BIGGEST gripe with this place: when I explained I could not afford the $1500 estimate, they offered me NOTHING else. Not to hydrate him, another type of test, I got zero, zilch, nada. And here is the sad part of the story my baby who was only 1 year old did not make it through the night. Today the day after the worst day of my existence, I took the x-rays to a different vet for a second opinion. Guess what? He found the problem in minutes and told me how it should have been handled. He had a twisted bowel and needed to have the gas removed and then if that wasn't working surgery, but that needed to be done asap. DR. CULL couldn't find the most textbook of ailments and because of that I was unable to save my dog. SHE took away that right. Now lets talk about sensitivity. This place has none. They will not admit they are wrong or made a mistake. And the office manager Stephanie will tell you that they are not there to "play lets make a deal". I have yet to get an apology or a refund or any type of resolution. Dr. Sandhu the owner, does not take calls or return messages either. He also owns the Canyon Country Veterinary Center, by the Regal Movie Theater in Canyon Country. Save yourself some pain, some money, and potentially your pet's life and go elsewhere!
My best friend's doggie was having trouble when going #2 and then she noticed he had blood in his stool. She was so upset and frantic so I recommended her to All Creatures Animal Hospital because I had heard great things. They took her right in and made her feel like everything was going to be fine. It turned out the poor baby had some kind of parasites and they flushed his system. He is now home, on a strict diet, but overall back to himself. Thank you All Creatures Animal Hospital for giving my friends peace of mind and saving their doggie from what could have been a very painful thing to have.
My 5 month old Siberian Husky decided to swallow a bee. The bee didn't go down without a fight and stung the back of her throat. Of course, I was unaware that this was the issue at the time but decided to rush her to emergency when she kept coughing and started having trouble breathing. Called while in the car on the way and they immediately took her in upon arrival, the receptionist waited to have me fill out any papers until the point that the vet was already observing my puppy. The vet immediately saw the point of the sting when they looked down her throat and gave her a low dose steroid shot to bring down the swelling. They also prescribed antibiotics to avoid infection. They called later that evening to check up on her and see how she was doing. In all the years that I have had dogs, never once have I had a vet call to see how my dog was doing. Too bad they only have emergency services.
Two of my dogs were bit by a rattlesnake last night. We called ahead of time so they knew we were coming. After checking out the dogs we were informed they did not have have enough anti venom or other meds needed to treat them and referred us to another facility. This wasted valuable time as we rushed to get treatment started. Time is of the essence when it comes to snake bites. The next place, worked feverishly to safe my dogs. And I'm devastated to say that neither of them made it. I don't know how good or bad All Creatures is overall ... I just wish they would have told us on the phone they could not treat my dogs and thus waste valuable time and perhaps one or both of my dogs would have lived..
