Crossroads Animal Emergency saved my dog after she was attacked and bitten twice by a pitbull. They took good care of her and Me! The Doctor also identified a metabolic disorder that we had thought for about a year, was just allergies to everything. Guess you could say they saved her twice. She is in great shape now. Thanks!
Very clean hospital. The staff and doctors are very compassionate. They explained the procedures that would need to take place until I felt comfortable that I understood. This is my 2nd time I've had to bring my pets here. I would definatley recommend Crossroads to anyone I know.
I just wanted everyone to know that Crossroads is absolutely the best. I will always be grateful for all the love and care they showed to my little Kanga when she swallowed a piece of thread. I was already feeling pretty down when I had to put my dog to sleep, then I lost my job all in the same week just a couple of weeks before Kanga's incident with the thread... Now , I feared I would lose Kanga too. But thanks to the love and care of Crossroads she is still the lively and special cat I love! I'm still always looking for lose threads and any strings on the floor or carpet because I know she's always carrying things in her mouth (like cat toys etc.)Thank you Doctors and Staff at Crossroads.
Great service! My cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and her blood sugar dropped pretty low; I gave her honey and took her in to be checked out. The staff was very helpful, and the doctor and assistant did a great job at explaining the process of what would be done. When everything was done, they both went over the results and recommended to reduce the cat's insulin dosage and to follow up with the primary vet in a few weeks. In the end, the price wasn't as high as I thought it would be; I paid around $250 for the examination, blood work, fluids (the electrolytes were a little low, so fluids were given to raise electrolytes levels) and appetite stimulant medication (the cat wasn't eating well). It is a little expensive for what was done, but it was a medical emergency and the cat's primary vet was closed, but like I mentioned earlier, great service and great staff. One last thing, they do have coffee, teas and snacks in the lobby. Update: The vet is caring because the following evening, they called to check up on my cat to see how she was doing and answered a few of my questions. They even called my cat's primary vet to give them an update on the emergency visit because the primary vet called me (and told me that Crossroads had called him) the following day to get an update on my cat as well. Great communication!
They wanted to remove my cat's eyeball!!!! 2am...I hear a cat crying at the door. It was my black kitten. His beautiful yellow eyes were seeping red liquid. He had a large gash from his lid to below his eye. Immediately I took him into my arms and brought him in the house. All I could do was hold him and love him. I didn't know what to do. My poor kitten's eye was bleeding. A cat must have scratched him. My boyfriend is a DJ, so I waited for him to come home to see what we should do and what our finances would allow. 3:30am...immediately we searched for a 24 hours clinic and we found Crossroads. The representative was nice and welcoming on the phone and in person. Of course there was no wait. The took him to the room to be examined. The nurse said his eye has a scratch and must be removed for $2000 or it would be infected and he will die in 2-3 days. Another option is to put the kitten to sleep...Definitely not our option. My boyfriend hugged me tighter. We didn't know what our other options were. We did not have the funds to complete this surgery today. We did, however, get him antibiotics and a few other medicine. It's expected that cost will be higher than a regular vet. We paid $500 for examination and medicine to take home. I held my kitten as much as I could knowing that he might die in a few days.... It has been 1 year now and his eyes look perfect. I can't believe he could have walked around with no eye and eyelid sewn shut. I cannot believe a hospital would do such a thing just to get money. My cat lady neighbor (she has had over 100 cats in her lifetime) said that was absurd. This happens a lot to cats who are not neutered and it heals itself. So, would I recommend this place? Not necessarily unless you absolutely have to take your pet in. There are other places that was recommend to me that I will go to next time if my pet has an emergency...that will not offer to remove my kitten's eye.
