I had taken my Main Coon cat here from ages 16 to 18 years to the end of his days. From the receptionists, to the assistants, to the doctor, they were always so compassionate and gentle with him, even to the end of his days. When I couldn't afford a full spectrum of testing, they offered affordable options that could narrow down their best guess for a course of treatment, which actually helped him live another year of happy life. I recently adopted a 2 month old kitten and 1 year old from the Humane Society whereby they participate in offering their first visit free. They call and check on my pet following visits to ensure "we" are ok. I'm fully confident in them taking care our furry family.

The best Veterinary Hospital. Front desk and technicians very kind, loving, caring for you and your animals. The Veterinarians are very knowledgeable and give incredible care to your pets. Dr. Gordon has been exceptional in treating my cat with cancer and acupuncture for my dog. I have 13 animals and I will definitely keep coming back to OVH.

Everyone here was so friendly and helpful, I have been here twice, both times the Vets were knowledgeable and friendly, they also followed up with me the next day to make sure everything was going well. The front office is was so nice. I have been experiencing alot of bad service lately so its nice to get some good costumer service for a change!

So glad to have found a great place that's local. They took me with no appointment, were very sweet, and gave me service that I felt would be what they would want for themselves. I was not sold additional services or products, only given minor recommendations for down the road. Dr. Smith is very kind and straight forward with options, and I really appreciated that. Update (about 4 years since first review): I wish I could give them 500 stars!!!! If you are looking for a friendly, trustworthy, and above all COMPASSIONATE veterinary office this is it!! I cannot find words that convey the gratitude and appreciation I have for these doctors and their staff. The vet office is most definitely not a place in which you want to be recognized and known by name but this staff makes you feel welcomed regardless of being a first time or repeat patient. Unfortunately several of my fur babies have had some medical issues over the past 4 years and even when I was in financial dire straits I have known that I would be able to get a comprehensive estimate with options to find the best way to treat my critters. I have NEVER felt pressured or guilted in to doing anything I didn’t opt for, nor have I ever left there wondering if I just got duped. In addition to the amazing care in the office you will also receive excellent follow ups! I’ve almost ignored calls from the Drs. on several occasions because they will call afterhours from their personal lines to check on the patient!! And speaking of afterhours their business hours are AWESOME! They are open on weekdays until 7pm!!!! This in itself has helped me to avoid emergency rates for my animals. The staff are extremely pleasant and are just all around good people to talk with and do business with as you work through the health issues your pet may be facing. All three doctors on staff are kind and truly care for the patient while understanding the needs and situation of the humans involved. I’ve had the pleasure of working most with Drs. Burnell and Hackett and both are extremely caring and very attentive when it comes to listening to the issues of the patient (and sometimes the issues of the human, too. ;)) Again I really can’t find words that do this place any justice. The closest I can come to is to tell you that they are caring, sweet, understanding, and TRUSTWORTHY. If you find yourself faced with the daunting task of searching for a vet that will bring you comfort you would be well served to call up Oceanside Veterinary Hospital!

Started taking my dog, Dolly when we got her. The service is great. They answer my questions and take care for my dog when she needs it. Friendly staff, great doctors.
