Wow there are 3 of us on our block that go to this Vet and none of us have any complaints at all. I have gotten nothing but great care and consideration from this Vet. office and staff. Pets are expensive but the trade off of unconditional love is all worth it.

Wrong exam. Wrong medicine. Wrong price. Kept waiting 45 min. BELIEVE me. Not worth it....Downhill since Dr. Johnson retired.

We adopted a dog from the SPCA on April 1, 2012 on April 3,2012 we took her to the VCA American River Animal Hospital for a free exam the vet (Susie) looked at her and said she was fine and that we got a good dog never looked into her ears, Yesterday we had to take her to our Vet and come to fine out Our new dog has an ear infection and has had it for a few weeks, if the VCA vet would had checked her ears we would have found the ear infection before it got this bad, our dog may have to be put in the hospital her ear is so bad, The vet at the VCA tried getting us to pay out $241.56 for things that our dog didn't need at this time.. Think twice before you put your pet(family Member) in there hands, maybe if we would have had paid out the $241.56 they would have found the ear infection. We also called the SPCA to let them know about this problem that we had, they are looking into it at this time.

Great service, quality and care!!! I'm sorry for the other 2 for not realizing pets can be expensive. Cost us $2000 to have my dogs knee fixed but now she has grown up to be a wonderful puppy. I highly recommend this vet to anyone who is looking.

After VCA failed to give our family dog his needed shots we asked for (the ones required to board him) we disputed the additional office visit charge required for the additional shots missed the first time. Our credit is now in ruins as VCA turned it into collections for disputing an office visit cost. Oh yeah... this is after we spent (and payed) them over $3,000 in other bills for our dogs in the prior 2 years they were our dogs vet. Please, save your money and your credit and go somewhere else except VCA.
