Meeting Dr. Outterson for the first time today was a little intimidating for me as I strolled in with the weight of the world on my shoulders worried that the growth on my pet’s face might end up being a cancerous tumor. Having not dealt with him before, I was worried he wouldn’t have the right kind of experience to handle a pug-nosed breed, as well as an over-protective, paranoid owner! How I was wrong! He listened patiently as I rambled on about my concerns regarding the lump on her face and the redness of her skin, and took into account every spot that I pointed out to him that I thought something was wrong. He treated Beep very kindly and gently, allowing her to remain relaxed during the examination, and used a variety of techniques that showed extensive knowledge of pug-nosed breeds so he could accurately give a diagnosis. The way he broke down the treatment options the way he said he would have handled his own pets as a dog owner as well. Most vets that you deal with have a detachment from their “patients” and will give you a clinical diagnosis only, while Dr. Outterson took into account the emotional attachment people get to their animals and what treatments would not only be best for the animal but best for the owner too. No one likes to think of their animal in pain or discomfort, so his concern about making sure we were both comfortable with the treatment plan was comforting. Dr. Outterson even took time out of his schedule to proceed with an on-the-spot biopsy of the tissue and gave me a great deal of relief as he and the other members of the staff reviewed the tissue and told me there were no abnormalities. Beep and I can both breathe easy tonight and look forward to our further dealings with Dr. Outterson. Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital has always been our go-to vet because of their friendly staff and knowledgeable vets, and I would recommend them and Dr. Outterson for any pet owner.

Dr. Gordon has been our veterinarian for 10 years. We think the world of him and his staff. Dr. Gordon is an outstanding surgeon and is very knowledgeable about different treatment options for your pet. He offers holistic as well as conventional veterinary care. If your pet has orthopedic problems, Dr. Gordon offers acupuncture and chiropractic which can be very helpful. Most recently, Dr. Gordon performed two surgeries on my dog's eye. The surgery was cancerous and I have to say that I couldn't imagine feeling as comfortable and trusting as I did knowing my dog was in his care. Our family was very worried about Legend and was waiting during the surgery and sure enough, as soon as it was over, Dr. Gordon contacted us to tell us everything was ok. When looking for a veterinarian, it is very important to find a doctor and staff that you not only trust, but have prompt service and will take care of your pet even when you are not there to see the procedures. My pets always like Dr. Gordon and his staff and we will continue to use him. We think he is the best!!!

David Gordon has been my veterinarian since 2001, and I have complete confidence in him and his staff. I'm sure he will bring the excellent quality he has shown to my pets and I at his Orange County facility to bear in Poway. I can't think of anyone I would trust more with my dogs. He has seen me through cancer, heart issues, lung issues, cyanosis, and other ailments and has never left me feeling unappreciated or ignored. I really love that he will discuss all avenues of treatment with me and explain, in language I understand, what is happening with my dogs.

Dr. Gordon is great! He really cares about the owners and their pets, he goes above and beyond for them. You will be happy with the costumer service he brings the to hospital.

This is a wonderful and clean facility. Dr. Swarowski is very knowledgeable, through and helpful and will work with you whatever way necessary to help both you and your pets. I recommend this clinic highly!
