I met "Dr. Bob" (McCool) soon after he opened his Poway office earlier this spring. I know a lot of vets throughout San Diego County, because I have worked with animals my whole life -- everything from hens to horses -- and foster a lot of homeless dog and puppies. Dr. Bob is amazing! Not only is he an excellent and experienced vet, he spends as much time as I need explaining what he is doing, what he recommends, his diagnosis, and his prognosis. Dr. Bob continuously exceeds my expectations when it comes to the care he gives my animals. He is kind, gentle, patient, and above all, really loves animals! His office is convenient, the staff welcoming, there is plenty of parking, and he tries hard to see people even on short notice when it is necessary. I have recommend him to many people and will continue to do so. He is wonderful and has taught me SO much about animal care and medicine, which has helped my rescues stay healthy and happy.

I came to Best Friends Veterinary Hospital to inquire about puppy shot packages for my new puppy. Being a first time puppy parent, the staff was friendly and polite when explaining everything my new puppy would need. Upon meeting the Dr. he took the time to answer all my questions pertaining to my puppy, and was patient throughout the whole process, I never felt rushed like I have at other vets offices. The staff and Dr. gave my puppy tons of attention and even gave him treats, I have never had a dog love the vets office so much. I am thankful I will have a vet that both my dog and I love.
