Great Place with Caring Staff. I have taken a couple of my pet rats here and the Vet and staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Recently, I brought in one of my rats who had a lump - they were able to diagnose him that day and they were willing to change their schedule so he could get the tumor removed before the holiday break. I highly recommend La Sierra vet - they are great about following up after a procedure and seem like they always have space in their schedule to see your pet.
I have nothing but good things to say about La Sierra Veterinary Clinic. I recently adopted two little pet rats from a pet store not knowing that they both had respiratory infections. Initially I was not interested in taking my new pets to that particular animal hospital after reading some so-so reviews, but it was the only place nearby that treated rats. Reluctantly, I decided to give them a try. I called on a Friday to make an appointment for the following Tuesday. The receptionist was very sweet and even gave me some recommendations to keep my rats comfortable until we were able to make it to the appointment. When my fiancé and I arrived, we were greeted warmly by the veterinary assistant and were given a room immediately after some initial paperwork. We met with Dr. Schrader who specializes in treating small, “exotic” pets. She was so gentle and understanding, and I could tell she really has a passion for animals. Since rats tend to not have the best reputation, that was especially comforting. After a quick examination, she gave both of them shots of an antibiotic, and a few prescriptions with detailed explanation on how to administer them. She even charged us only half price for one of the rats to cut down the bill a little bit since it was the same diagnosis for both. It still wasn’t cheap, but I don’t know of any vets that are, so that wasn’t unexpected. I received a call from the assistant the next day to check up and see how they were doing. One of the rats was being extremely uncooperative in taking the medication and after expressing my frustration, she told me to come in free of charge to see if there was anything she could do. She showed me how to give the medication and then had me try it. I wasn’t all that great at it, but she said I would get better with practice and if not to come back in. I haven’t had to return and am very thankful she showed me how to give the medication. I wouldn’t be able to do it without her help. La Sierra Veterinary Clinic really surprised me. I was expecting to have a mediocre (at best) experience, but I’ll definitely be returning if I ever need to, and I have recommended them to friends. It’s a small place, but it’s conveniently located on Indiana and clean. The staff is sweet, and clearly more interested in the animal’s well being than the money. Everyone there is very experienced and knowledgeable. I’m so grateful for them and confident in their services. Pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
Don't let the female doctors fool you with their calm, sensitive personna......ther are in it for the MONEY. It's all about how much they can charge you. MY DOG DIED WHILE IN THEIR CARE. They convinced me she needed a DENTAL and charged me in excess of $500.00. Meanwhile they ignored the more serious illness, which killed her a couple months later. I kept telling them she was sick but they didn't do the right tests. I NOW WORK at high end vet clinic. I SEE HOW MY LITTLE GIRL COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED. I could still be with her now. I TRUSTED THE WRONG VETS. MY MISTAKE. DON'T YOU MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. They don't care about your animal. And the high end vet I work at only charges $180.00 for a dental !!!
I took my puppy here because he wasn't feeling well and the staff was excellent. The office was a very clean environment and each room in private, (at no extra cost compared to Vetco.) Dr Schrader took her time not rushing her exam. The prices are very very reasonable and they gave me a puppy packet for my little one that had alot of information and samples of products. I would definitely recommend this vet.
Most Compassionate Vet Riverside-Corona area. We have been taking our pets to La Sierra Veterinary for the past 30 years. Just recently we took our pet cat of 17 years, who was not feeling well, to be checked. They gave us our options, either spend thousands of dollars, which would not guarantee he would survive or put him to sleep. Needless to say, this was the most difficult and emotional decision we have ever made. We received nothing but kindness and compassion throughout the visit. A couple of weeks had past and we received a card in the mail. The WHOLE staff had written nothing but kind words. This was so moving and dear to us to know that they cared so much for our loss to send these wonderful words of comfort. We have several other pets and will continue to bring them to La Sierra Veterinary Clinic,
