In my opinion, Animal Health Center is the best vet hospital in the Monterey/ Salinas area. The staff there is extremely friendly and welcoming. They also have an entire team of veterinarians with various specialties and expertise, whom are very knowledgeable and their number one priority is to get your pet well. What I like most about Animal Health Center is they are one of the few vets within 100 miles to offer both conventional and natural treatments. I have been taking my 11 year-old handicapped pug, Piglette there for nearly 2 years now. All of the treatments (laser therapy and water therapy) and remedies Piglette received has had very positive results in improving her quality of life. The other thing I like about Animal Health Center is they offer high quality pet food brands that you either cannot find or are hard to find at pet/ grocery stores. Recently they just opened a new location in Seaside which I would say is worth checking out too. I have been to a handful of other vets in the area and none of the others offered the variety of treatments or level care for my pug as Animal Health Center.

They did not inform us that they offered no overnight post op care at this clinic, instead they said surgery went fine...they the transferred a year old puppy after a 3.5 hour surgery to a private home. Our puppy died- he bled to death because he wasn't in a facility that could handle this situation. We are heartbroken, we lost an amazing dog because of poor decisions. Please take our pet elsewhere - please save your family from the heart break.
