We started bringing our new puppy to Animal Hospital of Salinas and we are very happy with the service. Drs. Chan and Sage are at that sweet spot in their careers where they possess all the current training and knowledge of modern veterinary care, but they also have enough years of practice to appropriately apply their knowledge. They were very gentle with my puppy, listened to my concerns, and offered practical advice. The staff is patient and friendly, and "plugged in" to their clients' needs. Great place! Oh, and there are separate entrances/waiting rooms for cats & dogs, which I am sure is much appreciated by the feline group. :)

Dr. Kennedy has sold the practice to two young Veterinarians who are outstanding, Dr. Al Chan and Dr. Rachel Sage. They treat both animals and their owners with respect and provide helpful information. Their staff is excellent and well trained. I enjoy going there and seeing the high level of care pets receive. This Vet hospital is worth checking out with these new and professional doctors.

The first time I went to this vet I had a bad experience. I thought maybe just maybe the doctor was having a bad day. Everyone else there was nice expect for the Doctor he was rude and mean even to his staff made you feel uncomfortable. I decided to give them a second chance and take my dog in to get neutered well that turned out to be a horrible experience also. One of the receptionist was sooo rude and had absolutely no patience she was horrible the doctor when he called was also being rude and trying to sell me other services and stuff over there phone which i felt pressure to buy just to shut him up!! even though i didn't really have alot of money (and he also lied to me how much the item was over the phone ended up costing me more). Anyways my dog ended up braking the E-collar and at some point ended up licking him self causing him to swell and bruise REALLY BAD I called to see if they could look at him and to just make sure it was okay I CALLED AT 3PM and they said no F-in way could they see him they couldn't take a little peak just to make sure he was ok. I had to take him to the ER Clinic in Monterey and ended up spending a extra $140 just so they can tell me he was swollen and had alot of bruising and he was okay. Seriously all i am saying is THEY should of made time to look at him since THEY did the surgery but nooo they wanted me to wait a whole day which i wasn't going to it was just overall bad experience and i have also heard alot of people telling me they have horrible service i will never again NEVER AGAIN take any of my dogs there even if they where last vet in town I rather pay much more and drive far distances than to ever visit them again.
