Got a ticket and fine from San Diego County because this Vet/Office does not handle dog licensing at all. They only take customers money for wellness checks and vaccines. Save yourself the money and get your vaccines at the pet store. This is a scam when the professionals are not coordinated with the county and state.

If you care about your pet please heed my advice and avoid this place like the plague. My experience with Turquoise Animal Hospital was an absolute nightmare.

Usually I go to a vet down the street but they were booked when I needed to get my frenchie in right away, so I was told to go here. The doctor was very nice and so helpful, gave my puppy antibiotics and she was better just days later. He also suggested a new food to give her because I told him she was not eating very much and was gassy. I forgot what the food was, and weeks later I called and he remembered me, and told me what to give her. It is a world of a difference in the new food, and she eats regularly and no more farts :) I plan on using this vet from now on, highly recommend!

A great animal hospital with caring staff. This is a fantastic place to go when you want the highest quality care. It is not the cheapest, if you want that go to petsmart. I think the only negative review about Turquoise was really price oriented. If you want to skimp on pet care and costs, go somewhere else. However, if you want the best care for your animal and have little concern for anything else, then I would recommend Turquoise.

"Turquoise was recommended to us by friends when we adopted a Great Dane puppy. We knew that Great Dane's come with hereditary issues and wanted a high quality vet. Well... that is exactly what we got. Al Atkinson has been taking care of our dog for 4 months now and has continuously impressed us. Not only is his staff friendly but they go above and beyond what I expect of them. For example when I needed copies of my dog's medical records so I could send them into our insurance company, they faxed them in for us. I know that's a small thing but they didn't have to do that. Al always listens to what I have to say and explains my dogs issues to me in a way that I can understand but at the same time never sounds like he is talking down to me. When my dog had mites, he took the time to show me them under the microscope and explain what the real problem is. He also sent us articles that were related to our dog that he came across. Again I know these are small things but in the few months that I have been coming here, I have felt more and more welcome each time!"
