I have been coming here for years to see Dr. Hackett. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. I have referred both family and friends to her, and they all lover her too. She is the best

Our family has been using this veterinarian since they opened many many years ago. Staffing has changed over time since then, but we have always been very happy with the service. They have done everything with our animals from regular check ups, surgery, and have even helped us deal with the loss of our animals. The groomer working there is nice, and our dog absolutely adores her. Every time I walk into the office they recognize who we are and are very helpful. The wait can be a bit of a pain at times, but remember, this is a smaller veterinary practice. I even conducted my senior project for Poway High School here (with Dr. Hackett), and the staff taught me a lot and helped greatly. Great place over all!

My first visit to VCA in rancho bernardo was okay. Unprofessional staffing. The free exam coupon it to lure you in and then not take care of you after. Dr. Robbins took X Rays and couldnt see anything with our dog. We took him to a Specialty Vet, he is on high importance meds. The Specialty Vet called in our refill prescription on Friday and never heard back from Dr. Robbins ALL day so faxed it anyways. I called at 5pm and she said their closing soon and open at 8:30am in on Saturday. I called at 9:10am and KARLA hadn't even checked the fax yet and said it would be a few hours before getting our prescription ready. I expressed importance of it because he needs to take it at a certain time, she showed no care, and spoke very rudely to me. I even informed her that it was them that didnt return the Specialty Vets calls. Didnt show any care whatsoever. They are unprofessional and are poor at their jobs. Dont take your pet there if you want a REAL vet.

Horrible Vet Hospital! Dont waste your time or money and MOST OF ALL dont risk your pets health. Uneducated staffing- Karla especially. Dr. Robbins is not knowledgeable enough to make the right call on any pet health concerns. Karla is more interested in where you got your nails done versus the pet.

We have several dogs that we used to take to this facility but have since changed. The vets themselves are very nice and capable but they seem to be operating over capacity. Despite having an appointment, the support staff often seemed to be unable to find records and leaving took FOREVER while they tried to figure out what you were supposed to pay. We switched to Companion Care in RB and Acadia in Escondido.
