I wasn't going to go here Mission Animal Hosp, in the Food For Less shopping center because the shot that I thought was needed was a little more expensive here than at a different place. Then I looked at the Google reviews, you'll see that they are all 5 stars, and for good reason. I am caring for a friends cat while he moves across country. She is a hairless cat and had a bad rash on her skin. The woman I saw was so knowledgeable and shared so much information with me. Instead of just masking the issue by giving a shot of steroids and sending us on our way, she took the time to tell me the different probable causes of allergies and how we can eliminate certain things until we find out the source of Weezy's allergy. The office is big, clean, and comfortable, there is plenty of room to keep animals separated if necessary. The staff was very friendly, they got beverages for my children, and even though Weezy was hissing and growling, they treated her as kindly and gently as any other creature. So they have this crazy looking, hairless, angry, hissing cat and they were soothing and loving to her. They give their new clients a gift bag with a Starbucks gift card in it too! I am endeared to this clinic forever. I have been to many other places in town, as I have lived here my whole life, but I will never go anywhere else! I have my forever vet and I would recommend ANYONE with a pet to go here. I would trust any animal in the hands of these caring people!

"Mission Hospital - the Clinic with a heart". Kindness move mountains..one said, & I know what he was talking about it. Mission Hospital is one of the most outstanding veterinary establishment I encounter on my 30 years in America. The professionalism, the care, the knowledge, kindness of the personnel (Jamie, Ashraf,Danielle & others) lead by Dr Kevin and his wife Diane make me tear up everyday I'm looking at my Cassius Clay, my boxer that has been saved by Mission Hospital. Not only Dr Kevin made sure that Clay is alive, but Dr. Kevin (who is one of most respectable, his expertise is priceless, he is one of the most kind people I ever meet), when I need support (due to financial burden) to continue my Clay medication he came thorough. Dr. Kevin and his wife Diane define the name of his hospital: Dr. Kevin has a mission to provide the most outstanding service you ever have. Your animal will be taking care of, either traditional medicine or alternative, no doubt. I'll recommend Mission Hospital to everybody, fully knowing your beloved animal will be taking care, no matter what challenges presents. Thank you to Dr. Kevin and his wonderful staff, Cassius Clay and Magdalena

Kevin and Diane Toman and their entire staff are kind, generous, and knowledgeable. So far, they've helped me with two dogs and a cat, including helping me make some difficult decisions with compassion and understanding. I can't say enough good things about them. They are the best vets in town, no question.

One of my favorite things that Kevin says is, "We can disagree and still be friends." Being a pretty darn opinionated person when it comes to the health care of any member of my family, this statement was very much appreciated. Right from the beginning it was clear that this vet was unique in his approach (the entire medical community should take a lesson!). By referring to himself as Kevin, rather than Dr Toman or Dr Kevin, he shows respect for his customers by putting himself on an equal level with them. A subtle difference in language, and yet significant in effect. His examination rooms have windows, so you can be assured you haven't been forgotten. The open ceilings on these rooms allow you to hear everything he's telling the person in the next room. This lets you get to know him and his approach to pet health care before he even enters your room. After he walks in and introduces himself, he'll sit on the floor and ask you to tell him about your pet. And then he listens. All arrogance and ego have been shed, which allows everyone to focus on doing what's best for the health of your pet. He is a confident and skilled veterinarian, who is willing to be honest about the limitations of his knowledge and abilities. When I asked him about the value of a certain alternative treatment, he had no problem using those three words that most other doctors seem to avoid like the plague..."I don't know." He said he didn't have any knowledge or experience with that course of action, so couldn't advise on it. That response was totally refreshing. When I brought our nearly 15-year-old poodle, Booboo, to see Kevin for the first time just a couple of months ago, I knew I was presenting him with a very challenging situation. Booboo had advanced congestive heart failure, severe spinal arthritis, dental disease, cataracts that made him virtually blind, and significant deafness - and those were just the things we knew about. Booboo's time with us was coming to a close, and we knew it. Kevin worked with us to help make Booboo more comfortable, until it became clear that it was time to let him go. The whole way along, Kevin treated our entire family with compassion, honesty, and respect. Kevin and his staff helped to make a very difficult situation bearable. I wish we had found Kevin sooner in Booboo's life, but since that wasn't possible, I am at least thankful we found him at all.

My dog is part of my family. She's my little girl and I'm probably just as nervous as she is to go see the vet. I've seen a number of vets in the area, and I've never had the level of service that I got from Mission Animal Hospital. Dr. Toman is one of the compassionate, honest, and intelligent veterinarians I have ever met. He understands that my little girl is part of my family, and not just another animal. Instead of rushing to get Kona (my yellow lab) in and out, he takes the time to write up an entire sheet of recommendations and details about his diagnosis. That really blew my mind. How many doctors would take the time to type up a personal note? It was certainly a first for me. Instead of pushing expensive medications and procedures, Dr. Toman gives alternatives like natural supplements and vitamins that are just as effective. In my honest opinion... Dr. Toman and his staff at Mission Animal Hospital are raising the bar in Veterinary Medicine. I highly recommend them, and I'm sure once you visit them once... they will become your go to veterinary clinic.
