I had the most horrible experience there this week (10/1 or 2). I went with a friend as an emotional friend since he had to put his cat down. He was there before his 10:15 appt. I arrived at 10:30 thinking I was going to be late. They took him in at 12:15. The waiting room was totally full when we got there and totally empty by the time we left. When we were down to 2 people, us and another lady, we had a 10:15 apt and she had a 10:30 appt. My friend was faced with an argument about how much it was going to cost. They had quoted him $154 and were charging $181...wrong pricing I guess. They took his price. Once we got into the room, the vet basically agreed with the putting him down. It took 25 minutes to get the bill straightened out and finally the sedative which he insisted on. The vet came in after the sedative, put the killing drug in the vain, checked to make sure that the cat was dead, turned around and walked out. Never said a word. I have NEVER experienced such an inhumane experience with a vet ever. OK. maybe he is cheaper than others but totally sensitive by my standards.

I brought in a puppy in who was diagnosed with Parvo. The staff said the doctor didn't have time for me because he was full of appointments. So I explained to her that my dog would certainly die if she didn't get taken care of right away. So she goes to the back to speak to the doctor. He has his rude assistant escort me outside to tell me that he will not treat my dog because of an incident with one of my friends. I explained that I had enough money and was willing to prepay the entire hospital stay. They still turned us away. We went to Dr. Pearson up the street who got right to work on my Angie. You get what you pay for with this vet. I plan to report him. The staff is always on the phone. Long wait times. There are just as affordable vets who care in the area that have no wait times. Go somewhere else!

We have been taking our dogs there for years. My daughter had a girl friend from high school whose mother had recommended this place. We started with San Marcos animal hospital when they were in the old location on the south side of Rancho Sante Fe. Dr. Hoskins is amazing with your animal !! You can tell he genuinely cares and he is not all about the money like some vets!!! He will not tell you your pet needs something if it doesn't ! Highly recommend!! and the prices are very fair!!

Dude!! Brian is a mad animal scientist! Walked in asked direct questions, assessed situation. Prescribed remedy and I'm out. A+.... Come here for quick pet results not to be courted....

This guy is legit. I am an average guy with a wife, 2 kids and a dog. We used to live in riverside and struggled to find a decent vet for a reasonable price. I always hated being made to feel like a bad owner because i dont have the money to buy all the fancy vaccinations and medications for my dog. This was my first visit to Brian's office and i was extremely happy i went here. He tells you exactly what u need to get your pet back on his/her feet and doesn't try and convince you to buy a bunch of extra crap. I really appreciate the low pressure mentality he has. He seems like he genuinely cares about animals but also understands people cant afford to buy there dogs a gold collar....his prices were extremely reasonable and i paid for everything my dog needed because for once i was able to afford it.... thanks for the help today Brian...you are a great vet! Ill be back for everything my dog needs
