I've taken my dog here several times and this is where I go if he's got any sort of problem and they've always been good with regard to care, and prices. I did like them very much until I realized they are sharing my personal info about my dog with outside agencies. I do not appreciate that and have changed my review from 4 stars to 2. I probably should change it to 1 star but everything is relative and I know other vets share info as well. It's really unethical though.

My two cats have both been here for Vet visits and boarding, and I'm very happy with both. The doctors here are professional and warm, and obviously love animals. Likewise, the technicians and receptionists are knowledgeable and helpful. When I had to leave my kitties here for a week during vacation, the workers would come and hang out with my cats far in excess of what was required. As a result, my cats were considerably more sane and less needy when I came to pick them up. :) Also, there's an adorable vet cat that roams the grounds. She's awesome and friendly as well - give Miss Kitty a pet while you're there.

I love San Mateo Animal Hospital. Dr. Wolfe is great with my dog, treats her like her own. She has recently been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and they have been knowledgeable and helpful. The entire staff is warm and friendly.
