I've had Bishop Ranch for 20 years now and most of it with Dr. Izakawa however have used just about all them through my many family members. They are quite simply "The Best of the Best" no matter how severe the medical issue. I have been with them from vaccinations to heart failure and Dr. Iz is quite proactive when it comes to serious "what is it" pet allergies. When your pet is suffering & you haven't determined what it is yet -- your not sent out the door with simply anti-histamines which maynot stop their suffering. I started with a pet rat, a very close pet. We then had a dog who had developed lots of large cysts. We got a Chinchilla at the same time which Dr. Iz stopped the teeth from growing through the brain. Matty our dog had everything imaginable over the years. Then 8 months after recovering from a serious operation at UC Davis Matty dropped to the floor of my Mini Van, all 130lbs, with blood pouring out of his mouth. I called and told them the emergency and drove strait there. He was unconscious upon arrival and they were there waiting with a stretcher outside. I knew he was gone........30 min later they came out and said, Matty can go home in a little bit. Utterly amazed as they gave me my options. He had a hole in his heart sac and they drained the fluid. His age was 8 which is old for that large of a dog. I was presented with two options, one of which was too serious and impossible recovery for his age given the operation he had 8 mo earlier so they drained the heart sac each week & Chinese herbs so we could spend a wonderful 3 week vacation of his favorite places to say good bye. TRUE STORY ---- How they did all that & located it UNDER 10 MINUTES ILL NEVER KNOW. They are not cheap, but they are damn excellent and you never know what will happen next. Now there's Mr. Snickers, our little 30lb Havanese who has to lose 8lbs. It's possible we are facing something serious, I pray every night he is healthy and lives a long life. I do know, any other vet would NOT HAVE picked up on those symptoms, for us to be on the look out for. Well, he's only 4 and I am positive he will NOT have it, I do know---- in the meantime,---- he is in the best hands with watchful eyes that he could be. THANK YOU DR. IZ
