My poor dog Dexter had an emergency... he had a bubble in his eye (I know I am not using the correct medical terminology). I called Santa Clarita Animal Hospital as it was on a late Saturday night. My usual Vet was not open. They saw him immediately!! I was so impressed by how clean the facility was and professional and knowledgeable the staff. Dexter was so nervous and Dr. Walsh was kind and gentle with my beloved dog! This is the best pet hospital I have ever been to and I have now switched my services over due to their wonderful care along with more convenient hours! Dexter's eye was better within a day!
I found this hospital after two bad experiences with the Stevenson Ranch Veterinary Center. I met with Dr. Kari Walsh regarding my Bichon's heart condition. He is in Congestive heat failure and requires 2 heart medications and one diuretic. Dr. Walsh examined my dog and adjusted the dosage amounts of his medication since my last vet got it wrong! She spent a long time explaining his condition and medication management to me. She also gave me the name of one of her colleagues in the event she is off on a day I need to bring him in. Most recently, I needed a last minute refill of my dog's Lasix and they were able to fill it for me the same day and go over updated dosage instruction. I completely trust this veterinary hospital and would highly recommend them. Everyone from the receptionists, to the vet techs and the vets are very professional, polite and more importantly, competent.
I can always count on SC Animal Hospital to provide excellent care for my animals. I live directly behind another vet, and after 2 horrible incidents, I chose to drive across town to a veterinary clinic that I can trust to provide the absolute best care for my animals. We had a dog who appeared to have seasonal allergies, causing nasty eye goop several times a day, and many episodes of abdominal pain. One trip to a new doc, SCAH, and we were given the news that she had a food allergy. They didn't try to shove some expensive dog food on us, instead told us to look for foods where meat is the first ingredient. Problem solved the first day. Definitely worth the drive to know that my pets are in great hands.
When my dog started acting ill for more the second day, I did what anyone does- ask a trusted friend with dogs about which vet to choose. I got a rave review for Santa Clarita Animal Hospital and a stern "don't go to other places" as well. I took this information and did my own search of online reviews. It seemed to match up with what my friend has said. I took my dog in for the first time. Since this was her first visit, and we really didn't know what the cause was (a bad meal? or something more serious?) I asked for and was given all the options from wait and see, to here's some medication to medical scans. I never felt pressured and felt I was getting straightforward information. I needed a Dr's opinion and that's exactly what I received. I purchased some medication for my dogs tummy and waited a few days. She recovered just fine. I appreciate their service and no-pressure attitude. I even like that they send me a few (not too many) reminders about season checkups and a birthday email on my dog's birthday. I've already recommended them to two other families. df
We took our kitty to Santa Clarita Animal Hospital because he was so sick and we didn't know what was wrong with him. It turns out he was really sick and needed to be put down. The Dr. there was so kind so us. She explained everything so we could understand exactly what we were dealing with and gave us all the time we needed to decide what we should do for him. They were so compassionate and kind. Most of all they were good to our kitty and treated him with care and concern. We went to Santa Clarita Animal Hospital because we heard the prices were good (which they are) but we will stay with Santa Clarita Animal Hospital because of the way they treated us and took such good care of our poor kitty.
