These people are all about the money, so be warned, if you are like most of us, cash is tight, pretty much your option is either pay up, or they will offer to put your pet down. How nice.We brought our cat in due to a coyotee attack, and 400.00 later, we had to refuse their hospital stay, oh by the way @150 per night, and no empathy, sorry sir, thats what we charge. Wow.

Everyone we have dealt with at this office has been very friendly and helpful. The doctors have been compassionate, friendly, and thorough. I have and would highly recommend this hospital. I feel confident with their expertise and service and appreciate their personable customer service.

My husband and I recently adopted a very old dog from the Inland Valley Humane Society. She had a pretty bad case of kennel cough, internal parasites, and a urinary tract infection. The humane society sent her home on antibiotics but they also provide a free physical exam at VCA in Upland within 14 days of adopting any new pet. When I took our new dog "Ruby" in, the front staff was very friendly and in fact thanked me and told me how amazing I was for adopting an older dog. When the Dr came in to examine "Ruby", she was on the ground with her, giving her love immediately. She answered all of my questions and even looked up a breed online that she thought she might be mixed with. They sent me home with 2 doses of de-wormer as she still had live tape worms in her stool and there was no cost to me what-so-ever. They have a contract with the humane society and many common conditions are covered within the first 14 days. The next day I realized I had forgotten to mention her UTI so I called back. They had me bring "Ruby" back in so they could get a urine sample and send her home with antibiotics. Again, no cost to me. Every person I came into contact with was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I've worked in the veterinary field for many years and this is one of the best experiences with animal hospitals I've had. I wish I could remember the Dr's name because she was great!

On Friday, October 4 I had a very bad experience when I took my golden retriever to the VCA Upland clinic for the third time because my dog has an ear hematoma. Dr. Johnson recommended a small surgery, which at that clinic has a very high cost. I was very upset that after paying for two treatments with costly antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs with no results, they told me I would now have to pay for a very costly surgery. I did not understand why they gave him antibiotics in the last two appointments if my dog does not have an infection, rather a hematoma. In short this was the last visit there and I definitely would not recommend anyone there.

Marjorie Fong DVM made my aging terriers last minutes with me a nightmare that I can't forget. I had to euthanize my dog of 10 yrs. I called to make arrangements ahead of time and I asked about the procedure. I didn't want my loving pet to suffer and his last few minutes here on earth were painful and inexcusable. The first assistant to Fong tried to insert a catheter several times and failed, it was painful. Then they sent in a brut to try and she hurt my dog. In spite of my concern and complaints both Fong and her assistant said, if you wanted this painless you needed to pay for pain meds. Of course, I would have gladly paid any price if someone explained it to me. Too little to late and I will never forget the horror in my dogs eyes. Dr. Fong should not handle dying pets and I'm still angry over her harsh treatment of my loving dog. Dr. Fong, you should be ashamed!
