It was Sunday and my dog wasn’t feeling good so I call Banfield Pet Hospital and got a same day appointment with them. I never been there but my experience was a good one. The staffs were very kind and very knowledgeable and help me make the right decision about my dog Sam treatment. They also told me about their wellness plans which save me hundreds of dollar that day for removing foxtail for Sam Ear and he’s fine now and back to his old self and I am trying to image why some people have bad thing to say about Banfield Pet Hospital when I had very good experience with the pet hospital and staffs.
Today (26-Mar-14) my experience with Banfield Pet Hospital, was disappointing: First they have been calling and expecting I will "drop" everything and take my pet to their comprehensive examination, I appreciate their concerns but they made me feel like it is obligatory to do this when they call. I gave them two different times and would have preferred the latter, but they just jumped at the earliest time. The time they gave me was different than the time they registered the appointment. When my wife and son arrived they did not have a clue to why the dog was there. Second they keep asking if I have any concerns, (this is good customer care) when I made reference to an email they had sent out months earlier in regards to a free study they will be doing. They verbally acknowledge the email but then insisted for written (hard) prof of the email. In the end they completed the study, treated my son and wife with rudeness, told them they completed the testing and in less than 20 minutes they sent the dog home. Originally they had recommended for the dog to be there for a period of 2 hours. I do not understand how a two hour observation and study can be completed in 20 minutes. The positive was that I received a phone call telling me that the dog now has "cataracts" and they are suggesting he be treated by a specialist outside of their program. I understood that my pet insurance would have some advantages.... The only experience that seems to repeating is inconsistent from their advertising and the way they follow up treating customers in a way that it makes you think if your money was well invested in their pet coverage. I would like to speak with someone about this.
Very rude. I was second in line and she let 6 (six) people go ahead. she obliviously knew the other costumers but that's no excuse when I was in line waiting! I am new to the area but I've had my dogs on banfield for a while! I came from from another state! Anyway I don't think my new dog got her shops cause she's not in no pain or sleepy like her sister was! Her sister was very sleepy n wined when we touched her! My dog is running wild like nothing! Also her sister wined every other time she got her shots n her blood work but when I brought her to vacaville for her blood work n a shot she isn't wining like she does when she comes to banfield! They took both my puppies to the back to give them there work so I didn't see nothing! I know my dogs tho n they don't act like they had any shots or blood work! They didn't even come out with there foot bandage because they said they drew blood out there necks! Never heard that! But I just don't trust or believe them! Ill drive to Sacramento next time! There is nothing wrong wit BANFIELD but these people that work here! Also the petsmart store people saw me come in 3 different times and kept there eyes on me like I was a theft ... I dropped off my 1st pup then pick her up. Then took my other pup later that day! They set the appointment. Much more but trust me Its not worth coming here! They don't even acknowledge your dogs are here! This is just their jobs. Check in check out
Banfield is a joke. They don't listen to the customer and they don't care about pets, only about making money. The vets are under-trained and must get a commission for visits and treatments. They misdiagnosed my dog and when I called and old them about it, they told me that my vet was wrong (he most certainly was not). They wanted me to come in and spend more money instead of checking my dog for what I thought was wrong with her in the first place. Thankfully, my dog is ok (no thanks to Banfield). I should have listened to my parents when they told me not to go there since Banfield did the same thing to them... Moral of the story... They are money hungry and uneducated. You would be better off spending the money to see a real vet. If you are thinking about going to Banfield, just flush $200 down the toilet, you would get the same result!!
This place is THE WORST! Way too expensive and the receptionist is completely rude!
