I am very pleased with Buena Animal Hospital, so mch so that I wouldn't even dream of taking my cat Squeegee anywhere else. They are good with him and he doesn't get all freaked out when I take him in for his exams and the shots he's had didn't seem to phase him. I highly recommend you take YOUR pets to Buena, and if you knew who I was you'd know FACT I'm giving good info. I don't do reviews often unless I am very impressed or very dissatisfied.

I love Dr. Jan --we have been very happy with the quality of care of pet has received here. The staff is extremely well trained, in fact this facility wouldn't even consider hiring one of my friends who is an amazing vet Dr. because she didn't have the level of training they require of their staff here. All these Dr.s are required to have gone through at least a one year intensive internship program post vet school. Also, their pricing is very affordable compared with what some of the other places in Ventura charge. The staff is very caring.

This is the place! Ihave worked in four different veterinary clinics and this is the best. The people here, from the caretakers to the vets, all really love and care about animals. This is the only place I've ever worked that would fax claim forms in for those clients who have pet insurance. This is the only place I've worked who keeps a posted list of places people can call for financial assistance. They accept Care Credit. I have seen them bend over backwards to help people take the best care of their pets possible. I knew from the first week working here that I could trust these people with my pets - and that is NOT true for everywhere I've worked. The last place I would never have left my pets there without my being there with them. Having seen the best and worst, I can honestly say that my opinion is that this is the best. Nobody's perfect, but you can trust that the poeple at Buena will be trying their best for you!

Extremely caring, very available and helpful, and highly knowledgeable. Every single staff member I have interacted with has bent over backwards to be as caring and accommodating as possible these past few months since my dog has had terminal cancer. The doctors have been really great and their communication with other clinics in coordinating care for my dog has been prompt and thorough. Thank you Buena!

It's really scary because you have to put so much into one persons hands, your happiness your pets health and survival... I got conned. What should have been done and was later recommended by several other vets was just a simple round of medication according to my cats file and symptoms. However, full body x-rays, a full blood panel work up and a few other procedures that could only be charges on a bill and not explained cost me almost $700. At first when I took my cat in they said the vet visit alone was just under $50... that was fine... they told me his medicine would cost $20 that sounded reasonable... at the end of the visit my bill was $140! Procedures like wiping his paws with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol, taking his temperature, and feeling around his organs cost extra... an additional $70 for things always included in a vet visit! It's the next two days with their calls back of recommendations, other than the medicine they had already prescribed... just in case he was in pain for something they could not tell what it was... that is what cost almost $600. I go to Karen Moore at Moore Veterinary Care on Main St. in Down Town Ventura now, she's honest form the get go, not quick to over charge, and great with my pets! You should call her, she is wonderfully experienced and very professional with an understanding of what it is to be a pet owner and lover, not just being in the business of pets.
